Oh, and what Mirithal mentioned is referred to as Pascal's Wager. If it's the impetus that spurs you to go to church/synagogue/temple/whatever and use that as the basis form your own views about your faith and the world around you, that's fine. I just think that it's kind of shortchanging your faith...
