No, not really. You know when you make fun of someone a lot for something, and then they get tired of it and change themselves somehow so you'll stop, and you make up the excuse that it was all in good fun so they won't have hurt feelings, and so they won't change a part of themselves for someone else, because that wasn't really necessary?
