Although detractors decry (MMA) as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally fucking awesome form of human cockfighting. -The Onion

Very interesting post. I agree with his comments of "cliques", in the realm, and even OUR guild. I wouldn't have learned much if it wasn't from people helping me and teaching me while playing. For me to ignore new players who ask for help would be arrogant, egotistical, and most importantly, not good for the realm.
For instance. On a TG raid last night, a Zerker was LFG. Someone in our group told the GL to get him. His response was, "He's a newb. He's an idiot and would be futile to even group him". This display of machoisim is going to hurt this realm and the overall playing experience for new players. I understand some people just cannot be taught. But more than likely, he just doesn't know. A few good instructions and examples usually does wonders for new/inexperienced players.
Just a few thoughts,

I have never been an enthusiast of the more obscure holidays like “Groundhog Day.” This type of holiday made more sense long ago when Doppler radar was not available and faith in groundhogs was stronger.
