What I have come to notice about MMORPG's

Postby Hall » Mon Aug 09, 2004 5:29 am

Well having a few under my belt now, I have come to notice a trend. Well atleast a trend in my case, The 1st week 2 weeks, month, I can pretty much hold the fort down solo. But after that point no matter how fun the game is I get irrevocably bored. Now that is not to say the games themselves are boring, Daoc is boring thou >_<. What I basically mean is with out a network of established friends, I have like no motivation to do anything. This is the point in time where folks would say "So make friends" Well dammit I dont wanna 50% of the people you meet in online games / MMORPGS are pretty much bottom barrell useless sacks of flesh and water, and I dont have the time to "Play nice" and weed out the jackasses in order to find decent folk. I guess Im lazy, or maybe it was EQ which I started basically alone on a pvp server no less and fought tooth and nail and soloed, I think i grped 2 times in about a year and half 2 years of playing. O well im ranting now ima go make me some java
shalom sirs/madams.

Agreed... UO was the last game where a single player could get ahead on his own..
