Explain to me why, Travel

Why is it that it costs more to travel via bus or train, than it does to fly a plane. All the while a plane trip is about 19 hours faster with more accomdations.

I was going to take a train Thinking it was 98.00 both ways, but nope its almost 200 for a round trip and you dont even get your own lil closet room you get a glorified airline seat. and 22+ hour train trip with a stop in DC. Then I check greyhound its 190.00 to sit on a bus with a portapotty for 24hrs+++ in a cramped seat next to grandma. I mean wtf shouldnt ground xportation be ALOT cheaper than a 2hr plane trip????

I took amtrak once from savannah to orlando, and i got a private car for like 60 bucks. That thing was the shit. You get a TV, a couch, a bed, and even a personal attendant for each sleeper car. I watched a movie and passed out in the bed.

must be since im going from nyc I wouldnt mind all that shit would be nice but dam id rather take a plane even thou i fucking hate hieghts since its cheaper that is so fking poor.

I don't know what to tell you about the price though... Perhaps if you weren't going across the damn country land travel might be cheaper.
