So i almost ended my life last night....(not suicidal read)

So i get a call at about 7 pm from my friend who was about to get jumped by 14 people. I get my friends together and we go to where he was at and squared up to the people wanting to jump him. I had 7 people with me plus my friends 2 other friends for a total of 10. They ran off and didn't come back. Later that night we started drinking a shit load(Im a big guy 275 pounds 5'11" and can hold more then average) of beer and hard alchohol, 151 and rum. So a little after midnight we desided to leave (DONT EVER LEAVE IF YOUR DRUNK ITS NOT WORTH IT) so i drove back. I was going 40-60 mph down a residential street, went to make a left hand turn lost control shattered a metal light pole and took out a cable box and mail box. I had 2 passengers with me, neitehr where seriously injuryed thank god, and im fine to. I spent the night in jail, totaled my car and lost my liences for atleast 1 year. My insurance will now be over atleast 250 bucks a month. Im 18 years old and thought i was superman. Im not posting this for sympath, im posting this to show you that shit does really happen and yes it can happen to you, i thuoght i was untouchable. Its not worth it to drink and drive. Hopfully others might learn from my dumb ass mistake.

Heya Ormeld,
A few years back, I got a DWI. Was quite scary, but if you have a clean criminal record you might be able to get off with a PBJ (Probation Before Judgement), which means if you're a good boy for your year of probation, the charges for the DWI go away like they never happened. I have a sqeaky-clean driving record to this day, despite the fact I was looking at 24 points on my license. I wish you luck man, I know it sucks.

that sucks man, i just turned 18 today actually and glad i generally dont do crazy stuff. I thought if u get a dwi/dui while under 21 u dont get ur license back unti 21? atleast thats the law in NY state i think.

Glad you are ok.. take from an ol timer (37) who hast totaled 11 cars. Drinking and driving thesed days is not what it use to be like when the local cop brought your brother home passed out in the back seat of the cop car and let you know where his car was at in the trees.
