The briefing was hastily arranged after Brown received word that a secure Web site containing the discovery was hacked and the hacker threatened to release the information.
So astronomers knew about this and did not plan to release the information to the public? I wonder what else they are hiding.

ed at the philosophers behind the discovery arguing about petty ass shit about naming it a "plant". I mean has our society become too politically correct to question an object 4 billion miles away. I think they need to discuss Carbon fiber plates on the shuttle more IMO and leave the real discoveries to scientists.
