With version 1.61, we're introducing live updating of the Herald. That means that when your character is saved on the game servers (every 15 minutes, as well as when you log out), it will also be saved to the Herald. There will be a lag time of up to half an hour as the actual web pages are rebuilt on the Herald, but there should be no other delay.
To make sure this transition goes smoothly, we will be resetting all character listings on the Herald tomorrow morning when 1.61 goes live. Your character will reappear on the Herald within 30 minutes of your logging into the game.
