Ehhh, I'm in beta but I'll keep my mouth shut about it.
The game is going to be great, just think it could use 2 weeks more or so of polish. I currently enjoy it more than anything out there. If you are in beta and haven't played in the last few weeks, try it again, a LOT has changed.

Before the NDA drops (suposidly this week) let me say this...
MAKE YOUR OWN OPINION. Buy it and try it. When the NDA drops, as it does in all games, you will get flooded with negative opinions. Look at daoc's forums, who complains the most? The whiners. There will be good posts as well. EVERYONE always thinks these games are released too soon, myslf included. But I will say this is a game that truely has impressed me, and is quite solid. Honestly, I enjoy it more than anything on the market. It still has some of that "wow" factor because it is new, but it also has a wow because there are things that just make me go wow.
Also, a lot stopped playing a month or 2 ago, when beta 3 started. You simply can't listen to those people, the game has changed too much in the last 2 weeks, let alone 2 months.
And not just with this game, but in all aspects of life, decide for yourself. Go in unjaded and give things a real chance.

yea i got in at beta 3 itself...
course i went in unjaded, i gave it a fair chance...
it didn't work for me somehow, it was hard to get used to things. I can't be specific about it just yet else i'd tell ya my problem.

Candide on bria. Saphyre is playing as tygra, Hyla as phyllobates or something like that. All of us are on Talus, dearic.
And yeah, I'ld recommend changing the key map to the MMORPG style, then looking at the controls and modifying them. I spend 10-15 mins changing everything around after each wipe.
The game has a big learning curve, especialy for those who haven't played as many other online games (they are kind of like languages...the first you think of as easy, and resist any changes in the second, however after the second and third language, picking up more is much easier). Mostly it is in the controls which I hate.
