You just can't appoint a leader. Being one requires that you take on the task of leadership wherever the opportunity or need arises. When you appoint a leader because you need a leader, you are appointing a figurehead. Those who want to lead will naturally step up. Those who are unsure should have enough initiative to ask around anyways. Those who don't, aren't very good potential leaders.

The resolution BWC proposed in regards to the RvR council was that these forums do a more than adequate job of serving the criteria you had mentioned. All the GMs and a majority of the officers check these forums frequently, if not a couple times daily. Any ideas can be posted here, if people agree, then there you go. Membership to this forum is also quite secure so there should be no fears of "spies" and the variety.

We will wait for ToA for many reasons, but the strongest reason is that once ToA comes out, alot of players will be coming back, and with that, many new power structures will be created. If you set up a system now, we will have to tear it down and build another system with the guaranteed swell of new and old faces upon ToA release. Existing powerhouses may become larger or smaller, old extinct guilds may make a come back, and there may be new trends and features that come with ToA.

Changes take time, and big ones require multiple meetings. Rushing in is foolhardy and is a sign of rashness. We have to think things over because the decisions and actions taken will affect every person on Merlin

Tingtong INC only has 8 real people in guild atm and only 7 are actively playing. We all play more than one level 50 in a week sometimes as much as 3 each so please don't judge us by single characters. Its very unfair and misleading.

I am sure you meant nothing by it but just so people know.
Thanks

No no no. You got me wrong. I wasn't commenting on guilds, but the alliance as a whole or even the whole server. Mid merlin is thin right now. And our guilds show it like the rest of the server.

Joshll ...first of all im not trying to simplify anything....I never said it would be easy.

About the numbers on merlin .... when I do a /who ...there aint much difference from 4 months ago... what I do agree with is that the numbers in RvR are small and This is becaus we are missing the grait leaders as you said. This does not mean its impossible to gather the mids ...the other night we were about 100 mids defending DC emain when i logged.

I havent seen as many lvl 50 players before, as there is 2 day, but like you said your self ....they are spending time on PvE.

You are suggesting we wait ...Im suggesting we start looking for those who have the abbility and who might want to step up, those who havent had the chance or wasnt needed before because of people like Cele, Gundorf Etc. and encurage them to do so. But this can only be done if we all agree on this and work together.

But if the general feeling is give it a rest and wait for ToA....so be it.... then im not gonna use my time on it eather.

There have been plenty of opportunities to lead this last week with albion and hibernia's attacks on bled. Nobody wants to lead a defense and thusly, the mids won't rally.

Doing a /who now compared to 4 months ago shows midgard's total online population at roughly 50-70% of what it was (depending on day of the week and time).

You keep refering to finding leaders as like a job headhunter. You also place the onus on the guilds to do so. IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT. This is a game, a hobby, not a job. Many people are capable of leading, but many chose not to. Those who do want to lead, will find a way to lead. If you have a person in mind, endorse him/her here and have him/her lead something. Till then, we're waiting for someone in a /cg to show leadership initiative.
