Seems it is impossible to compete with monk stacked teams unless you yourself are a monk stacked team.
Even with mesmer and necro skills that are all anti-healing and anti-monk.... monks can heal right through your biggest spells.
Blah...
Out of the box you would think it would be balanced, but it is sad that X/Mo or Mo/X are the hands down E-Z mode classes. Lame.
Anyways... there is some good counters to monks, but in the end it seems stacking 4-5 monks are your team will win every fight or result in a never ending chase if both teams are stacked.
Makes the end game PvP all about... Monk ... Anti-Monk... and the other 2/3 of the games class combos can go screw off.
Go monk or go home?

And the valid anti-monk templates are all mesmers...
And if you have ever played a mesmer you realize how painfully fast they go down in PvP.
And if you played a W/Me then you realise how impossible it is to have enough energy to shot down a monk... since you have time perfectly your mesmer skills and chances are you don't have the energy to do so.

You have to remember this is a game of Strategy and not imbalance. People will stack anything if it's a sure fire win 90% of the time against pugs. Thats How FOTM was invented. Your strategy MAY work for you, but next round another team slaughters your 5 monks in 3minutes you will realize that this game isn't build on class imbalance but strategy.
Ranger/Mesmer Combo is a great Anti-healer combo.
Yes War/Monk is the FOTM tank and a combination of monks is a sure fire to beat 90% of most noobers just cause you can outlive them.
Any group can be beat it's all about building your team Strategy.
If I took 2 ranger/mesmer cobmo to interrupt say a grp with 2monks
then took some War/Necro's with a few AE casters we would no DOUBT out dmg the War/Monk assist train and slaughter them before their healers have time to react.
You will see a more mature play later on in gank grps. But it's all about Knowing your enemy and countering it. I look forward to actual Guild vs Guild PvP.
