Servant Spec at 40?

Anyone have much experience with necros?

Not sure whether to go servant spec at 40. The idea of being able to cast PBAEs while using a damage shield at the same time is pretty appealing.

Not sure about pet survivability though, since most guides say you need a suit w/ +100 con, +400 hits, capped melee resists, and a L50 enh bot.

My impression is that it will be hard on the classic servers with no Power Font. Because I think the problem becomes power on keeping the pet healed while things beat themselves to death on the servant.

Of course if you have a cleric bot, and a sorc crack bot, then maybe

those guides are mostly right i have 2 lvl 50 servant necro's you must have a high lvl enhance bot period to even consider going servant


necro's that go that route normally have two suits the first is called a summoning suit you put it on before summoning your pet this suit has as much con con cap hits and hit cap as possible your pets hp is what your hp is unbuffed

the second suit is cap melee resist powerpool etc. a normal caster suit basiclly you put it on after you summon your pet

for pl'ing purposes it is godly as well as pharming high lvl arti mobs / named but you must have a cleric with at least lvl 40 full enhance to try it


the focus shield last 20seconds is a casted spell unlike sm's/chanter which can't perform any action and continually drains their power you do not need fop in most cases mcl1 or mcl2 work nicely
