I've spoken to a lot of BWC folks for the past few days. A LOT. Old school and new school.
I know there's been some grumblings about how several folks have chosen to play on Order on one server, some folks splitting off playing on Destruction, and others following the Merlin team(s) to play Order for CE starts.
At this moment of time, there's isn't a true guild stance on where people should play. I don't think there should be. I believe when we initially merged with BWC (from Council of Elders), we wanted people to play where they would have the most fun. We had a lot of great times in DAOC on Mid Merlin.
Now, times have changed. I've changed and few others. I know we want people to stick together but people have different online gaming schedules and others don't have time to play at all.
All I ask is that you have fun, meet new online gamers like yourselves and come back here (to these forums) to reflect the good times -- old and new experiences.
Besides, things get a bit crazy during major Online game pre-launches and hype mania for the first month. When things settle down, I'm sure we can all touch base and find our niche. Even if we don't...there's other games on the horizon as the Gaming Industry will always be booming.
Personally, Jeff (aka Phishbone) and I will be starting SE on 9/16 on the Merlin alliance on Skull Thorn. We will most likely be joining one of the alliance guilds, because our schedules barely allow us to play. As some of you may heard, I'm going back to school taking a few classes to be a certified computer nerd, plus my job is crazy enough with 5 major projects.
So I wish you well on your new endeavors on whatever server you've chose to play -- and COME back here and share your insights.
