Welcome to the PlanetSide(tm) Exclusive Beta Test

We know you've been eagerly awaiting this email, and your wait is finally over. In this email you will find the information you need to set up your beta account, how and where to download the PlanetSide beta client, and what to do to install it properly.

Becoming an official beta tester is a lot of fun, and you will be an integral part of the development of PlanetSide. But along with the privilege of getting to play PlanetSide before the rest of the planet comes specific responsibilities as well. First and foremost, to become a beta tester you must agree to the terms of the Beta License and Confidentiality Agreement. As a beta tester, you will have access to non-public information about PlanetSide and it is important that this information remain confidential and that it not be shared with ANYONE outside of Sony Online Entertainment. So please, read the confidentiality agreement carefully and make certain you understand it and agree before you accept it.

Planetside beta is definitely something I want to get some BWC feedback on. Gratz for getting in man. BTW, I left a reply on Sleyns TG Raid thread on the members board you may want to check out. :twisted:

I swear to god, I gave them like 5 email addresses and they never processed my station account/beta app. Im so fucking pissed, the game looks good

8 hour download w/ cable modem.

so i finally played it this mounring.. first impression.. the game is going to be great.

2nd impression.. feels a tad sluggish(but thats normal for a beta)

i played for 40 mins, after figuring out the basics.. within 10 mins into the game, i already found a drop ship (whcih was cool as hell, watching it come into the _safe_ base and swing into the boarding bay (WOW) i told the ship to drop me off in the middle of no where. i walked around for 3 mins before finding a base which it seems we were battleing over.

i got 2 kills, and looted the corpse for a sniper weapon, and ammo.

but i have yet the skill to use it (argh!). from what it seems, the more kills you get the more RP you get.. which allows you to purchance certifcates to upgrade your gear. and you can learn and forget them. so i picked up some upgraded armor, new machine gun, and the ability to fly 2 ships and drive 2 cars

I also got accepted and they should be shipping me the CD's here in a day or so. I will be checking it out and let you know as well.

not a public beta =(

but hot damn.. once the game smooths out, it's going to be wild wild times.
i already noticed a few buugs from the short time i played. but it could have just been me not knowing the total key config =(

I have been playing it for a cople of weeks. Its like tribes on a bigger scale. Its alot of fun tho. :bigups:
