Depending on play style, a solo rogue should concentrate on stunlock templates. 99.9% of the rogues on this server have little to no idea how to initiate the combo or perpetuate it. For a solo rogue it is by all means a series of IWIN buttons. If your rogue is based on grouping, it isn't that effective since your group will most likely break any mezes you do. Xarkons templates are pretty good but if you go deep enough into an area to get Seal of Fate, wtf didn't you get Vigor for? 10 extra energy is a fuckton when setting up lock combos on classes.

I fully expect things such as stun lock and chain CCing to go away as pvp rewards go into the game. Now, since talents are retrainable, it's no big loss if you spec a stunlock template, but I highly doubt that they will be viable as the PvP aspect of the game progresses.

Stunlocking is for newbs, and also the reason rogues lose to good mages.

Get in, make them dead in as few strikes as possible, get out. That's the way of the rogue.

we're also insanely successful in MC imo, at least for Horde.
