Huge war this night...

This is the best night of Shadowbane Ive ever had.

Tonight our nation was attacked by our archrival nation .

Our archrivals are Denied, they are good at powerleveling and are a zerg guild to boot.
Our nation is made up of experienced beta players who were all pk's. Skilled players, and several powergamers.

The war started as they attacked one of our allied nations towns. RoC (the town that was attacked) was sieged and the enemy broke through our defenses despite valient efforts. Because they didnt have siege equipment they couldnt destory already built buildings. However, just that morning they had started to build a LOT of new buildings spending a ton of cash, this turned out to be the reason Denied attacked a s they had a spy in our allies guild. The enemy destroyed those buildings while the entire nation rallied in the Frost Horde's town "Winter's Gate"

We managed to rally about 50 people, amybe a little more. Suddenly our scouts out in the icey tundra reported Denied's scouts moving towards our city. We buffed up and readied ourselves.

They struck the town hard, sending their Aracoix, Templar's, and other flying capable people over the walls. The flying healers summoned more of their allies into our town. There was a massacre, people appearing all over the walls and inside of our town. We destroyed the ones on the ground and had a bloody fight on the stairs. We lost a few but we came the victors.

Our two armies started summoning people back to winter's gate... allies inside the town, enemies summoning a ways outside of town.

Once agian Denied sent their nation to battle ours. This time going for the walls to trry to breach them. We unlocked our gates and flooded the fields. Littering the tundra with graves.

About this time we recieved more support. People began porting in. But, little did we know Denied was doing the same.

Denied came running out of the forest again, sending flyers over the walls, thief classes ran up the walls, and our forces fought hard. We faultered slightly but pushed them back.

Finally we came running out of our gates to finish off the biggest portion of the Denied force. Just about this time, two of our nation guilds had run up behind the denied force. We sandwhiched them hard, and no denied was left alive.

We are still having to clear our the little pesky assassins who stealthed in our town. But they are only pests.

Ive had to take a break for a while but i can give you an update...

The Barbarian Alliance had a Schism. Morloch horde along with all but the frost horde gave into Denied's pressure and subbed to them. That very same day, thanks to some previous planning, amassed every guild not subbed to Denied and attacked their town. Sieged it and destroyed it. We had at least 300 siegers on constatnly (lots of people drop when you go over 500people in one area)

The Frost Horde now is the only barbarian clan left from the beginning. We control the Ice Island and now have a couple subguilds.

The game caters to a certain audience. I see a lot of people start it and play it nonstop for about 2-3 weeks then quit. Others play it 10 mins and quit. Still others played it since earliest beta and STILL love the game.

This is the closest to medieval sieges you can currently get in any game (barring certain RTS's) If thats your thing, and you love team play more than solo play shadowbane is for you. When you enter shadowbane you must realise.. soloing is worhtless, and ALWAYS inefficient. This seems to be the main point that drives some away and others become enthralled.

Sounds cool, but I'll wait till the price goes down. Plus I dont want to spilt my time and play more than one game that already takes alot of time.
I also am confused about the character/classes.
