I want to raid albion hardcore. I will be on Gundorf as soon as I can get off work and will take people over to alb and start taking keeps. Please defend the homeland during the day so we can spend most of our time spanking albs. I want to make a split zerg, with the main force with me and the smaller force composed of 2 groups to go take the low level keeps. The key to victory is listening and following directions. In case people get lost please go to this link and have maps of all 3 frontiers. Trust me when I tell you that just having these maps near you will make you a much better player.

Having even basic maps that just show Keeps and water ways will let you orient yourself enough to navigate to any point in the game and you should never be lost again. From now on any group who is lost on a raid that I am leading we will not come back for you. Printing these maps takes 5 minutes, but coming back for you could cost us victory.

PS Of the maps shown, I like the ones that fit on one page per frontier, the terrain maps seem a bit too busy for me so I use very plain ones that just show basic keeps, roads and waterways with the names of the keeps printed on the map not in a legend, because in the heat of the moment you may get confused by the legend

The best maps I like for the frontier, show the entire 4 areas on 1 page. Check out this map:

Just echoing what ugnot said. I sometimes lag in the game or just get "displaced" from the grp. Having maps of the realm your in right next to you certainly does help. I usually can met them at the next rally point, or direct my group to a landmark and not make the whole zerg turn around. It's imperitive that Group leaders have these maps. They also come in handy when you enter DAOC in the middle of a raid.

Bah think about us living in Europe :P. 7 - 8:30 pm est is 1 - 2:30 am for me . Perhaps we could start out earlier with another leader (I'm not saying Gundorf isn't good enough)?

You have to do these things at the time when you can have the most numbers of people on for the entire event...

While 8pm may be late night for you, its only 5pm for the west coast. Yet start it later, and the east coast folks are forced to stay up all night too. Sure on weekends you can do 1pm east coast raids, and everyone can go...and nothing stops anyone from doing it then.

I know it sucks, but ya gotta do it when the most can be on. Some west coast folks may be at work still when it starts, but they should be able to join up within an hour or so of the start if need be.

:(

To be honest I didn't even think of the west coast people (and here I am saying you should think about us Europeans), but could we try to start as soon as possible? Since it's saturday tomorrow I can stay up till 4-5 am, but it's more comfortable having it earlier :sleepy:.
