Constant abuses cause reluctance to do rvr

Dear friends and allied.

Part of Mighty Danes officers had a very bad experience yesterday in rvr-defence. They had to listen to Tanglefoot badmouthing people in CG AND in /b to be sure all got that they were F......g Morons and what not. In about every sentence. THAT did cause one of our most dedicated and skilled rank 1 officers to leave rvr and not return.

As she said to me when I met her in Svasud: this game should be played for fun and you don't need to be abused.

I had logged on to join her in defence - but I must say that I decided to stay home and I will not recommend any of my guildies to do rvr until this matter has been solved.

Wether Tanglefoot gives a public apology here and stops badmouthing his allied colleges or other measures will be taken? I would like to hear alliance leader on this one.

That is the wrong thing to do entirely. Here we are less than one week after the nerf, our RP earning is below that of the hibs, and our defense groups barely number over 35 90% of the time. Telling your guild to not participate is pretty damn selfish. What if BWC decided to not RvR cause of just one person voicing their opinion? What if any other guild refused to RvR over a personal dispute?

We have no numbers out there to protect our realm and by not helping out, you may as well start rolling on another server.

I where there to, and like my guilty i left to, to listen to Tanglefoot bitch, badmouth and tell everyone they are Morons, and on top of that getting framed over and over agin by Alb's, well that last part don't really bother me much, fore its a part of RvR, u win some and u lose some, but when one from my owen realm start attack everyone like that the fun stop, this i can't/wont be a part of, get some control over u self Tanglefoot, and stop frame u realm mates, or move to alb, who make u king of nothing that day ?

This don't mean i wont come to another realm defence, but if i have to listen to Tanglefoot bitch like that agin, i'm out agin, i play this game to have fun not to get shit from a guy i don't even know, btw Tanglefoot congratulations on be first person ever to make it to my ignore list, to bad i still can see what u say in a /cg and on /b

I am sorry that a fellow alliance member was able to wreck your gaming experience yesterday. Dane was right that this is first and foremost a game for fun. But I'd also remind that it's a game of teamwork. Unfortunately when Tanglefoot drives you away, he also makes my realm weaker, and makes the albs stronger.

Someone needs to talk to Tanglefoot. It should be the GM of DeNied. And in my opinion if Tanglefoot can't be calmed down a little, then we don't need him in our CG's and our alliance chat.

Alliance chat BWC is responsible for, and I think we need to keep members from harrassing other members.

I'd also encourage you to find other alternatives to dealing with someone offensive rather than just walking away from the battle.
* Leave the CG but not the fight
* Turn off alliance chat while he is ranting and post here so that the BWC officers know this is an issue that must be resolved.

I hope we will see you out in RVR. We need every body we can muster right now. Please don't let a single loudmouth in our own realm stop you from defending (and having fun).

Of course both J and P are right.
And I didn't write that I would recommend my guildies not to rvr: I wrote I wouldn't recommend then to. Which means that normally when the need is there I announce in gu chat that we need people in defence. I actively try and get guildies to joing defence.

That is what I wasn't gonna do until the matter has been solved.

listening to him was unavoidable. It's hard to RvR and not be in the cg.
Also the abuse was on /b.
I did say in /cg that there was no need for it, but the only reply i got was someone saying that he had a valid point. I would not have minded so much if it was said once...but it was almost every other sentence that Tanglefoot was calling everyone fucking assholes or fucking morons.
I, like everyone else out there, was there to try to take one of our keeps back. It is true that people don't always listen well, but there is still no reason to abuse them.
I will not stop RvRing because of one incident...but I will not stay and watch people be abused either.

Again i will say...the game is supposed to be fun..and it's not fun to watch one person call everyone else names when they are out there trying to help

In general I believe that the abuse discussed here should be handled by the guild GM (of the abuser's guild) and is NOT a function for Alliance Management.

In this specific case, however, neither Tanglefoot OR any officer from that guild has responded here to the complaint! This could be that no one from that guild reads this forum... (If true that's a problem in and of itself). Or it could be that the guild has done nothing about the abuse.

If the latter, THEN it becomes a matter for Alliance management. If a guild allows such action to go unpunished, then the GUILD needs to be disiplined by the alliance.
