One thing I've learned to hate, yet also learned tolerate in my short time in game, are pickup groups. The uncertainty of how effective your group is because you do not know the other people or do not know their reaction to a fight.

As many of you know, shortly after I joined BWC, I was snagged away to Emjay's regular crew. Things changed, I disagreed with the way things were ran and now I'm without a crew. One thing I enjoyed about that group was the consistancy. No more sitting around twiddling of thumbs for a group, you had a crew of people willing to do anything together.

Not to say that the BWC I've been grouping with are bad, its just that, there is hardly any sense of unity in the groups. Many show up as an obligation or chore. Just doesn't bode well for the group if not everybody wants to be there or wants to do it that way.

So I've been kicking the can around, trying to find people whom I could consistantly PK with and the results aren't very encouraging. Nese(Linia) has already given me the thumbs up for it, but thats pretty much it. Mainly cause I haven't made this official yet, so here it is.

Driver: Aenslands primarily, but others welcome to drive
Hours of Crew: 4pm EST to 2am EST (1pm-11pm PST)
Goals: Defense of Realm while maintaining a 100k+ weekly RP flow and maintaining a respectable status of an 8man crew.
Will: Run Midgard regardless of fg/zerg. Will run Albion fg/zerg. Will run Emain fg or Keep Siege zerg.
Will Not: Zerg emain for RP. Spend days in DF for RP.
Group Composure: Laid back and conservative. Emphisis is on Time spent enjoyably.

Group Composition:
2 healers (required)
1 shaman (required) (Must have Endurance3 or Better)
1 skald (required)
4 Other

A group I am really willing to try out is the PBAE squad. Nothing quite like a 7s win. 2 SM, 2 Other.

Mix Squad, versatile, able to do anything and everything. 2 RM, 2 Tanks

I, myself will be playing my healer (Aenslands). Nese will be playing whichever (RM/Warrior/SB/...).

The idea for the group is not the sole purpose of RP stats mongering. Things like IRS score mean nothing to me. Only the ability at the end of the day to log off content with a day's worth of PK. The 100k+ figure is easily obtainable once a steady group is found.

There will be NO POLITICS in this group. This will not be a repeat of Emjay's Ascendancy or Kairma's TDA. This group represents BWC and what it means to the realm. This will also not be a leadership group of BWC, ie, we will make no decisions concerning the guild. However, taking a leadership role in events can/will be a regular occurance.

What I will do, is make sure this group is as enjoyable as it can be for all those who choose to run with it regularly. That being said, anybody is welcome to run with us. WE will not hesitate to remove people if they are deemed inappropriate for the group. Also, the members of this group are not exclusive to this group. If you are needed elsewhere, or have prior engagements(ie another group), it will be inexcusable to hop groups unless the group you are leaving is not inconvienced (replacement is found or they are all in agreement).

I am looking for BWC people primarily right now, but if we cannot fill the spots, I will be opening the invitation to people in other guilds/alliances.

If you've run with me before, you will know what to expect as it will not be any different (sans the BK camping).

Man, I wish I could play that much, I'd be all over it. But for the 2 hours a day I can play, anytime you need a shaman, I'm in.

Id be totally in for this as the skald role but..........my play time is very limited as of lately. I have another child coming and my wife is home all day until she delievers so when I get off work I dont have any time to play. Besides I dont get off work until 3pm pst and sometimes 7pm pst. Maybe when I get back on a more regular schedule ill join ya.

Good idea though.

You don't have to put in the whole time, just a majority of it on a regular basis. Its all about consistancy and certainty.

Personally, a consistent group is probably what I need to inflate my interest level in the game again. I detest logging in and finding nothing going on and no groups to join.


I am at a point where pick up groups just dont cut it for me at all and thus, I end up logging off quickly.

Of course I have no interest in playing 6+ hours a day, but I can probably swing 3-4 if the action is good and the group is having a good time.

So, let me know whats up with the 2nd Healer position.

After playing my sm again tonight i have to say is coming back to me and its fun. so i would be will to do a sm role if needed.


as well i have my skald who i would still like to get to rank 6+.

either or i can fill them pretty easy.
the opnly thing i really want to do atm is get my buff bot to 50 shes at 47 atm so it will not take me to long.

As you prolly know thangore is not my accout and the owner has not log on is a fe weeks so i dont know how long ill have it.
so on a side note. ya i can do this pretty dam easily.

i would like the 2nd SM role aswell =), and if needed(i rather not but) if needed. i'll always bot djur for perma sprint and resist.

Well, so far its working good. The group is running for at least 12 hours a day whether I'm there or not. Good thing cripp lightened up to the idea so he can provide his excellent emain driving (dood, not my fault I dont' know my way to Gorge).

As said, group members are not exclusive. However flaking out is not an option. We are still looking for that Skald position as Bebuff will be ending his stay with us shortly once Dallius is back from Vacation and Rikon retiring his Skald.

So far, it looks like a melee group is a very viable outcome for this group as Cripp is just loving his savage.

Just try to get grouped. If we have any unreserved spaces, we'll add you. But keep in mind however, that there is only 8 to a group and while we might have a free spot, we will not compromise the group's effectiveness just to get 8 people.

In the mean time, when there is no openings in this group, perhaps starting your own? Nothing will come to those who do nothing to warrant it.

This post and this idea fucking is so clique and fucking sucks. If you want to exclude ppl and only play with special ppl like we've seen some x-bwc do, then you can join the TDA.

Dude, I don't see what your problem is with this. Its not clique by any means. As Aens has said before ANYONE can join us. We advertise in /gu when we are going out and let everyone know when there is a spot. We don't kick anyone, and we never refused anyone a spot. If you wanna run just speak up. Last time I check there wasn't anyone in the group named Emjay or Kairma.....

As long as this doesn't get totally exlusionary, there isn't anything wrong with it.

I had a great time running with your group last night Aens. I hope to be able to again.
I regularly have a great time running with Emjay and Ascendancy.
I had a great time in the past running with Kairma and her crew.

Quit making assumptions about the motivations of others and just go out and have fun. And if we're having fun with guildmates and alliance members, it's all good.

I just ask you guys to be inclusive and if another guild group needs an additional class to equalize groups and try to accomodate effectively.

I don't have a problem with this sort of group set up but always remember guild members, guild loyality, guild teamwork should be first priority and perfecting groups is secondary.
