Hi as many of you noticed I like Frontiers no more gay 4 savage ma this shit in emain crap. Anyhow it was the lag but overall some people were frustrated. So here is a lil tidbits of info to know when you plan to take shit in nf. Ill repost on BWC and alliance sometime in morning.

Siege, siege is no longer homosexual like it was Pre NF Siege is your friend. places to get siege include

Outposts on relics takes about 2-4 min run i timed it.

Certain keeps if the fuckers didnt put other shit in the place of the blue hook points.

Housing I got a seige merchant in my house.

Another method that makes siegeing even easier, is Dimunitve Seige device. Basically for 30-60gp anyone with 800 ina skill can make a lil box and hold a peice of siege. This lil sucker saves encumbrance and labor all your need is the tools hammer, planning tool, kit then you use your Deploy skill undersiege and wala you got your siege.

we need to get into the habit of bring siege ALL THE TIME the Device are great they are compact casters can use them. Ima make some and place them in my vault and on housing tomo.

next thing is what ever we hit we need to hit it hard and fast and plan ahead of time. For example the TOWERS in ruins give us an ample time to set up choke points .traps for anyone coming in. or Da BEHN tower 4 which rests on top of a bridge as the ONLY wayto get to it, we cover the bridge, and the shoreline BAM they not getting in. and in responce to the recent eras, one way to impact hard and fast is tom come in with 2 war boats with trebs on them one on the east side of shore and one on right side of shore barraging doors with 3 trebs andusing 1 paltinone on the boat to take out any enemy siege near by or players. that along with a WAR ram or regualr ram and BAM we got tower, once you got a tower you upgrade that shit fast and you man the OIL asap nothing ruins the alb zerg than 2k dmg on 50 ppl smakcing a lvl 1 door.

any way im hyped ima hit the sack and remember the mentally challenged /assist shit is still there but now there is a whole new element embrace it and use your noodle, its much more fun farming RPs by outsmarting your enemy then spamming Wildcall with 4 other ppl.

We also need to be strategic. We have been used to taking Beno because it was their outer post and we'd have time to take it. Seiging in NF is going to be different.

1). Break the Teleport chain - Boldian and Nged. Take this central keep and enemies can't teleport to Beno and DC anymore, making it harder to mount an attack on Midgard.

We need to figure out what keeps break the supply line to where. In the meantime, I would advocate that the center keeps in all realms are the most important.

My guess is Surs will stop them from Teleporting to Hurb. I know Boldiam cuts off Erasleigh/Berk/Beno. Beyond that we are going to need to know this and document it. It's hard enough to take keeps in NF. We need to know the new rules and exploit them.

2). Ninja takes are done most likely. To take a keep we need to be prepared for an epic battle. As hall said, we'll need lots and lots of seige. Plan on 10 trebs for a major keep attack, or more. For keep doors we need multiple rams with multiple people running them. All non-ranged need to be helping on the rams.

3). Speed is of the essence on the first tower. Drop that tower and enemies can't teleport into the associated keep. Then if we hit the keep fast we may have a chance to get inside, even then we'll still probably have to fight outside before D1 is down.

4). Running boiling oil over a tower door is a great way to get your name on alot of spam :D

5). Hunters are your friends now, and savages will now need charity to get a group. Muhahahahaha, what goes around comes around!

you combine 2 rams or you can use 1 ram and have 12 ppl mount it, it has the same effect as the 3 rams we used to use. also good to have a palintone, and a catty for invaders.

How the hell do we get siege? Best ways, and write them out.

How do we /release house? It didn't work for me last night, don't we have a merch there?

also we shouldn't start with towers that are direclty near the keep, best option is to take towers that are the distance/outskirts of the keep or accross a bridge from the keep.

we also need to makesure our guild groups get on the same boat.

Read the first post.

1. There are outposts (small towns of merchants) near the relic keeps that sell siege stuff.

2. Certain keeps allow you to buy siege machines right onto the keep.

3. Housing merchants sell siege items - and yes /release house still works.

4. This is something I didn't read in any release notes... keep lords drop keys to chests that are in the lord room. These chests contain different sieging items, some of which are kinda neat. For example, one item is a rotting corpse, which upon being fired from a catapult, infilcts its targets with an AoE disease/dot combo.

i rvr'd a little in NF.
its a total caster/archer orgy.

it was druid/healer hell though imo.

Where are these fucking siege huts? and what keeps can you place them?

When I actually get a chance to play I plan on getting all the siege stuff down, which means I need to get my Alch from 750 to 800 so I can craft the diminutive boxes. If you haven't read about those you should. Basically allows you to carry a field siege engine in one slot in your inventory and lowers the encumberance I believe.

D I suggest you go to the guild house and find the siege merchant on the second floor.

I'm not even going to make up my mind on NF yet. The one thing I do know is we all have a lot to learn and we better start now. Hibernia already claimed the first keep capture with roughly one-half to two-thirds our pop. Hibernia has always had the gamers but now their realm leaders are just destroying ours. Lets hope the lag issue gets taken care of by Mythic as well.

My complaints are too much down time. boat rides, zerg deaths etc. My pros are the improved graphics and access to mid keeps through teleporting. Coin toss atm.

i think what we been doing so far is good, but still needs alot of work, we need to constantly be prepared with rams, we also need to keep preasure on towers, so they don't become level 10 and hardass.

we been picking on surs t3 for the most part of the day, keeping the tower somewhat depresssed and con'ed green.

towers that which should stay focused on:

Surs T3
Hurb T4

DC T3
nGed T4(the one in the ruins)

also we need to get all the mids which own keeps to bring them to level 6 atleast just so they con purple.

it seems to me that with NF people have totally dumbed down their rvr skills, especially in this guild. when have we ever gone out to take keeps without at least 2-3 rams, most of the time that man per group? when did our people stop sticking, or when they get lost stop using faceloc to find the rest of the group and then lie about it?

we seriously need to work on our teamwork the next couple of days with shit like boats and routes and where to meet if something shittly like falling off a boat happens and sieging towers. we need to have siege ready to go and a game plan made up before hand. at this point all i see in NF is frustration with some of the total dumb bullshit ive seen us do in the past two days.

We've been very noobish. Lots of new people in zones they haven't learned yet. People lose stick constantly, people take forever to make it to the boat docks, people get lost. We need to improve. We've been very PUG like.

We need to be much faster and much more competent on hitting keeps. People should know some stuff without having to be told everything.

We need to assign rams per door before we get there. We used to do that.

We need all tanks to know how to run seige. If you are a tank and don't know how, learn now or play another character. A tank that can't run seige is like a healer that doesn't heal. Seriously, take a little time and practice on your own.

Any tanks not placing a ram should be jumping in to help man the ram without being told.

Everyone start carrying seige without being told to fetch it. New Frontiers is all about Seige.

Question: Can we bind in the villages near the RK's where they sell seige?
