I have a lvl 38 Tauren warrior on the pvp server. I love everything about this class. I am building him to be a pure tank with the talents he gets. The pvp right now, IMO, is a piece of shit. With the FIRE line of talents that mages get they are so overpowered its not even funny. With their abiltiy to poly, nova AND invis it's just plain stupid. I know it's very early in BETA for the pvp but IF blizzard does not tone down mages before retail I think I'll just play on a regualr server. The regular server, for those who don't know, will be alot like DAoC , you choose when you want to pvp by going to certain areas.

Right now at 38 I have to go to contested areas which basically are like the frontiers in DAoC. I saw a mage take out a group of 4 ppl, same lvls mind you. I enjoy pvp but not the mindless ganking that immature assholes do. I guess we will see what happens.

I agree if the PvP is that unbalanced at release I dont think we should play on the unrestricted pvp server. Games that don't focus on pvp as a MAJOR aspect of the game usually end up fucking it all up. AvH is my vote if they dont fix the balance issues.

EDIT: Plus why play on a pvp server if there is absolutely nothing to gain from killing other players (as it stands right now) That just sucks imo. I hope they fix that.

hmmmm you do have a vailid point. I mean if you look at mordred there are way too many bugs that mythic won't fix........

Atleast on Mordred you stand to gain something from killing another player. On WoW its pointless. Why bother?

playing the unrestricted PvP server will be stupid anyways, mindless ganking ALWAYS gets boring fast, mordred is a perfect example, its fun for a week, but then its boring as hell. AvH is my vote for a pvp server, and i would prefer to go horde, because i can easily see alliance being the albion of WoW, where all the newbs and idiots go becuase they are the good guys, although i really enjoy playing my NE rouge, and i just dont think it would be the same with an undead or troll ;/

Funny, that is the exact reason that Horde doesn't appeal to me. All of the l33t d00ds went midgard in daoc at first. Day one I saw it (actually on merlin midgard) before we switched to hib/palo. I'ld rather play with adults with less "skill" than a bunch of whiney teenagers who just want to play the avatars with the biggest tits.

1) the adults with less skills, and the 15 y/o wanna be king arthurs come hand in hand, so you have to put up with alot more total idiots, and personally i would rather deal with assholes that have a clue, than idiots that are just morons

2) if you play for big tits you are definately in the alliance since every single horde female avatar looks like shit ;>

3) its about a challenge also, with alliance as its currently implimented you have easier time leveling with a more complete area to work with, alot more quests, an easier time getting to horde encampments and usually a 20% population advantage, i like playing with more than 1-2 groups, but when you win because you have 200-400 more players than your opposition, then its not really winning is it?
