actually ashenvale is good up to level 27, then 1k up to 30-32. Honestly Il ike to fight mobs 1-2 levels below me for good pulling. Centaur camp N of Freehold is good, but in Ashenvale, everything around Splinter and Zoltram is great.

Yes its contested but there is a lot of Hord traffic arround so your ok.

I don't think you guys have the gankers we have but maybe. I know on alliance side horde runs in zergs in contested territory. I haven't really been 1 on 1 pked by I have been spanked down by a zerg a few times. All in all it adds to the excitement of the area.

like super said Ashenvale is the place to be then 1k needles is nice.

The Centaur camp right above freewind post has mobs that drop a lot of silk cloth so hunt there if you are a tailor which if I remember right I think you are.

oh, and Ashenvale isn't too bad on ganking. I think I got actually ganked only one time while questing, and that was by players and a big lvl 45 tree that roams. You may see some enemies from time to time but it is more of fair fights than ganks from what I have seen.

Hillsbrad on the other hand...
