so far very happy with the ranger elementalist combo 2 professions that complement each other in so many ways =)

Heartless Foe - W/N
Very nice combo when I get a few more skills. Very effective early on. Plan to use him as an interupt axe warrior with life taps from the necro side.
Heartless Monk - E/Me
Pure anti monk. Fragile, but can shut down an enemy monk or caster in a heartbeat.
Also if we need a good Monk I may be up for it if I can get some help breezing through the quests for skills.

Im giving this a shot, but I have no idea what im doing yet. Just made my first char, a Monk.
Im not sure how to find ppl yet, /who doesnt seem to work for this game.
Ill figure it out

if you want to find someone you have to add them to your friends list or them be in your guild it's the only way i know of as of right now

Wow, I really like the monk class. made a /level 20 pvp on, and once I learned the basic controls, we won something like 20 in a row

Ok, I know I want monk as my main, but I still havnt decided what to do for 2nd class. In the insta pvp think I was Mo/E, but I am now aware that most skills have to be unlocked through the roleplaying game.
Basically if the roleplaying game pvp is alot like the insta stuff, I think im going to need ways to keep tanks off of me, as they seem to be the main threat. thoughts on what my 2nd class should be?

If you are going Monk main mine as well go mesmer secondary...
It will give you a whole bunch of anti-monk and anti-caster spells. Also has a good selection of slow spells to keep them nasty tanks off you. Not only can you heal your team, but you can stop the enemy monks from healing theirs.
Also Necro is a good choice as the necro spells will help keep you alive. Or you can use a variety of attack debuffs.
Elementalist will work also as you can pump up Energy Storage for the extra energy.
