Well its been fun.

I'm loving the mini-instance task exp PVE fun. It's 100x faster than leveling in Modernagrav back in the day and can go on own pace. One wrinkle is that one of the newbie quests (The Task at Hand), you get spammed twice on and have to repeat it twice just to clear out of journal. Other than that, its been fun. I haven't been in the veil yet.

I'm on Hib Percival. If you guys have any cash, I would love to trade some anywhere.

Until Blizzard revamps the Honor system, I'm gonna be playing here for a while.

you should play a vamp.. by far easier, not bots required, AND you can atleast have some real fu in BG's

I started a bard all over again on MLF now level 46. Levels pretty quickly with casual play I get one level and get a free level I like that option.

I didnt level in cata althought after exploring it lastnight wish I had.

Oddly enough, ive thought about reactivating my daoc acct to mess around. Ive decided to see what happens with the non toa server first though

Thats actually what I'm waiting for also Aby. I lvl'ed a Minstril to 48 on Guin while everyone was playing WoW. Now that I'm playing WoW, people are going back to DAOC...funny shit.

Honestly, if that server ever comes out, I will roll another toon. I miss the RvR of DAOC.

WoW reminded us that DAOC had a MUCH MUCH MUCH better pvp system.


Even emain zerging was better pvp than Tarren Mill.

But I gave that game 3 years of my life. I'm not ready to go back.

Well my Banshee is 21 now. We played in the BGs a bit last night.

Banshees in RvR = OMG overpowered. I freaking bombed/AE snared an Alb zerg to their deaths in 3 casts at level 20.

I'm leveling in an 8 man group where we run the same instance tasks over and over again. Every 2-3 task instance runs (we clear entire instance) = 1 level and full 8 man is 100% camp/instance camp bonus. The people I've been leveling with can't believe how convenient some of the things are in the game now (i.e. buying items from market explorers, porting to SI/ToA/Veil area). At this rate, we're hoping to be 50 by the end of the week.

Yeah, I don't think that the PvP in DAoC is really "superior" to that in WoW, however, I do think that the RP system is far superior to that of the honor system. I'm sorry, been playing WoW since last summer in beta almost non stop, there is nothing new, and the honor system requires me to play like a job if I want to keep my rank. I don't like that. At least when I get RR 7 or RR 10 I'm guarenteed to keep it. The way the honor system is right now it's like you hit RR10, go on vacation for a week, then come back home as a RR8 with half of your RAs no longer working.

I levelled a few chars in Catacombs since its been released, really good for doing so, and has actually made me like PvE more

It does slow down a bit, but then again, I was soloing them. Free tip for you though, when you hit 49, go do the catacombs quests. Most of the good ones are in Underground Forest.

They aren't hard coded XP, they scale to your level. There are about 15 L36-45 quests that take maybe 2 hours to do all of them total, and all involve killing a green mob in the same zone or something similarly easy. You can get them all at 49.

Each one gives 0.5 to 1.5 bulbs. I went from 49-50 in 4 hours on my warlock solo with no bot using them. The directions are also much clearer than the old world quests, no real need for a guide.

Getting 2 billion XP for killing a green mob 500 feet away = win.

im still in daoc and i enjoy my alb toons a lot. Minstrel is rr6 and theurg is very close to rr6 also. The only problem is lately on guin the rvr has been getting deader and deader. They really need to be clustered with perc/nim.

If they clustered, I may consider finishing my Minstrel. I got tired of DAOC at lvl 48.

ya i wouldnt worry about working on ur minstrel. I mean i still have fun and usually make 300k-400k a week between my chars but the action has slowed down a ton. Too many albs and not enough mids/hibs.

yea if they do cluster guin ill break out my like 43 oh shit whats it called lol i dont remember... caster alb thingy with mez etc fuck whats it called
