I will make a crush merc, hafl ogre, they look retarded but when they hit stuff, the replies are usually, ouch.

I will go armorcrafter all the way, will start early and salvage the noob stuff that drops. If I am lucky, I can setup the materials and craft at work, I was never into the auto crafter stuff.

Hey, can anyone tell me what is the Basics Crafting, I saw a basics crafting master, have no idea what it is for.

Ive tried to craft the legit way before, I cant belive there are people out there who enjoy spending 100 hours watching that green bar fill up.

BASIC CRAFTING

We are proud to introduce our Basic Crafting system. This system was designed and built with the new player in mind, as a means of introducing the new player to the craft system available in Dark Age of Camelot. Here is some more information on the system and how it works:

- All newly created characters, as well as existing characters which have not yet joined a crafting order, will be granted the Basic Crafting skill upon logging into the game.

- Since Basic Crafting is purely an introductory crafting system for new players, or existing players who haven't chosen a crafting order, recipes in this system are limited to samples of all of the original orders (tailoring, weaponcrafting, armorcrafting and fletching), up to items that require 200 points of skill. The Basic Crafting skill cannot exceed 200 points and if players reach that level, they are encouraged to choose one of the advanced crafting orders in order to proceed to recipes that exceed 200 points of skill.

- Spellcraft and Alchemy are excluded from the Basic Crafting order system.

- Players may choose another crafting order to have the Basic Crafting order replaced. When doing so, any skills shared between Basic Crafting and the new order will be transferred. Since Spellcrafting and Alchemy do not share any skills with Basic Crafting, in cases where the player chooses Spellcrafting or Alchemy as an advanced craft order, all of the Basic Crafting skills and sub-skills will be removed.

- While players will be granted the four original advanced crafting orders (tailoring, weaponcrafting, armorcrafting and fletching) along with Basic Crafting, those orders can never exceed the Basic Crafting skill level. If a player wishes to pursue an advanced crafting order instead of Basic Crafting, he must visit the appropriate advanced crafting trainer and have the Basic Crafting skill removed by selecting the advanced order.

I will be playing a Friar when people are around to group with, and a Necro when I'm pretty much soloing. I'll use the money from the Necro to fund Alch on the Friar, and I'll Tailor on the Necro so I can hinge for money.

Edit: Also, if we find that Friars are pretty un-needed for the typical groups we will run, which may be the case, then I'll play something else that will be more desireable, be it a Pally, or an additional DPS class/utility caster or something.

Im going to try to level both a sorc and cleric.

HO crush merc and cleric bot...I will look into weaponcrafting although I am more familiar with armor...985 AC on Lance.

Im going for the Sorc/Cleric thing myself that way I can play either as needed for rvr.

Rollin my Brit hereitc...honestly guys the damage is Insane! And w/ a full Rejuv spec i get the best DD tics and heals. Also think I'm gonna roll a minstrel Bot on Rolondo's account in case we need extra speed.

Heretics are pretty wicked, gives you like 75% damage immunity, and you basically have a PBAE DoT chant on you that interupts everyone, and does a pretty wicked damaging dot.

That zombie rez w/ a couple spread healers in the group is almost unstoppable, unless of course they mez/stun you, but when hibs have a shroom field up, that won't work.

Are you still planning on playing Alb, or are you going Mid with Ting? You need to pick one or the other so Law or Barbos can adjust the board restrictions appropriately.
