So I haven't actually done this, but have seen others talk about it.

Apparently, in Albion, in the zone Dales of Devwy, there is a mob called a scorcher that is level 43-50.

You can charm the mob w/ a sorc or minst, then use it to hit L50 pretty fast. Everytime this mob is hit, it procs a PBAE.

So if you get 10 mobs hitting it, it procs 10 PBAE's every round, which is pretty damn good.

we used to use this mob in accordance with a pbae wizard or two and it was amazing

Nice, im going to level with augo=) My sorc and cleric should be going fast.

Augo did they say anything about not giving the free level thing to this server? I know you dont get the /level 20 thing there but I was unsure about the first.

I have recently tried this with a lvl 45-48 Minstrel with a 35-38 Cleric bot. It does work, but not as fast as i thought it would. I don't think the buffs or the heal proc was high enough to keep it alive. It will work better when both classes are 48+ I'm sure.

The highest scorcher I have seen in DoD was lvl 52. A Minstrel at lvl 48 should be able to hold it ok. Especially with a RR under his belt from a little BG time.

BTW. The proc does seem random. I have used it to kill groups of green and blues and it didn't seem to proc on every hit. But like I said. I was of lower lvl at the time. Maybe with better buffs, and a Higher ability for me charm was need.

BTW part 2. My Minstrel on Guin is 49.8 ROFL. Now I'm gonna do it all over agin. IMO. The task dungeons are the fastest. Group 3-6 people and fly thru them. At least until we all have Necro's.

yes tis true they actually work very well but you need to have the yellow heal proc and yellow buffs from cleric at that lvl and the more mobs hitting the pet the more both procs go off

scorchers work really well on yellow/orange con mobs excellent to use at orc camp

Well, I was gonna go sorc/cleric to level up, or maybe minst/cleric, since charm just seems cool.

Thinking I might just take the easy way out and go Necro/Cleric though, so that way at L50, I won't be so tempted to log on the non-cleric

well if you go necro/cleric should only take a week or two to get both 48+ depending on how much you play just keep cleric straight enhance most of the way
