Hey all hows it going? I hope well. Anyways myself, xarkon, hloden and a couple other BWC folks have been playing on mid merlin on and off for the past I dont know year or so. Anyways as it stands and I dont know when this happend but the guild is locked down there is no GM there and the only one there is celest and she plays in another guild.

Dont get me wrong I have liader in another guild and I run with them alot but I also would like to see the Bounty Points be used for the guild. In my opinon make it open again and give us GM privledges so we can use the BPS we all helped to make. Its not like we are coming back to this game at all seeing everyone has mostly moved on I say why let the BPS go to waste.

Please vote with a yes or no on this topic. You dont have to give reasoning and if the outcome is a no ill understand and move on.

I have thought of playing there now and then. But I love my Minstrel and Classic servers too much. Playing Alb on a Classic server that is underpopulated is fun to me for the challenge of it.

Perhaps when i get bored I'll take a look. However, most of my time will be on Lamo.

P.S. I have been known to pop on Merlin now and then. And who knows, I may get bored with Lamo tomorrow.

Here is my opinion (and only my opinion):

BWC "officially" closed its doors on Merlin, more than a year ago. It has been treated as such an "old retired" guild, which people have had "alts" and used the bounty points for their own personal volation. Since we were in WoW, over 1 million bounty points were used. I don't know how much was used for keep claiming or what not.

Until 6 months or so ago, I started playing DAoC again and have done some maintenance of the "guild house" and activated my accounts as "GM", mostly to keep stuff in the guild house. I did have 1 character in BWC I did play in RvR but have now taken her out.

The point is BWC made its mark on DAoC. It's done and finite. Let's keep things in the past and move forward. If you want to play your alts, make a new guild. I guess I'm too prideful to view a longstanding guild like BWC on Merlin be treated as an "alt guild", rather than the powerhouse it once was. I would be much more understanding if 90% of the membership were so bored of Pocket Pool on Yahoo Games and decided to drop the cue stick to play DAoC again. But for only 3 people and 1 of which is "not really" in BWC...but only intention is to house "alts". (And I believe all or nothing.) Even if this vote "passes", would the so-called "officers" invite random newbs into the guild and make it BWC v.2.0? Would there be a recruitment process?

Like I stated before, I'll take my characters out of the guild, just to bury it. There is no need to re-open BWC on Merlin. We have BWC on Lamorak because it was a new ruleset and we grew bored of Lamorak after 1 month of release.

BWC needs to find a new game--DAoC isn't it right now.

/agree with this as well.

Besides Guild Bp's are easy enough to aquire if your activaly playing DAOC and besides the fact the BWC has closed the chapter on DAOC. If there was stong enough support with a leader who whichs to reopen it then it's something the whole guild would have to consider. Did that on lamo, didn't work, bringing it to merlin I think it's safe to say it will never happen.

OK. After reading Kim's post, I take my YES vote out. Lets make a new guild. If you need help, let me know. Just schedule a time and I'll be there.

Yeah I have decided to renig my request. After reading kims post I wanted to barf.............................hehe j/k but not really. Anyways it was a good arguement she made and ill go agree with it.


BTW nubs when are you going to put down the pocket pool can come play again?
