WOW Burning Crusade

As some of you may know, I got into Burning Crusade Beta. I went to BlizzCon last October and got a beta key.

I am currently playing on the Hellfire PvE realm just so I can learn the "quick" ways of leveling.

To get to Outland for alliance -- go to Blasted Lands. You'll get a quest to go through The Dark Portal. Both Alliance and Horde share the same passage. So it'll be a huge pvp fight (if on PvP realm) on the day of release.

From a healer's standpoint---be prepared to do some instances because a lot of the quests are melee-kill taskish. Most priests have been respeccing to shadow; druids to feral just to grind.

PvP quests are similar to those in East Plaguelands. Towers change hands all the time. A lot of Horde and Alliance share the same quests so it'll be a lot of World PvP on Hellfire Pennisula.

It is best to duo or trio quests. I don't recommend to do 5 mans for the initial 60-62 grinds unless grouping for instances.

From 60 to 61 - 415000 Exp
From 61 to 62 - 455000 Exp
From 62-63 - 476000 Exp
A level 60 regular mob solo gives 560 exp.
Quests Exp is 6850 Exp.

Instance Exp atm is the same as solo exp per mob. For instance 1 mob = 560 xp. It will change at release to somewhere around 250 exp per mob.

There are new spells for each class after 60+. I am currently grinding atm so I haven't seen all of the trainers. At the moment there are no trainers in Outland.

All of the Tradeskills have Grandmasters. Currently you can reach to Tradeskills 375.
I have Enchanting and I can now add +15 str to gloves, +24 attack power to bracers, +6 mana regen to chest, and new Fel Iron Rod.

Also there will be a grind for reputation with the Honor Hold group. They are similar to Argent Dawn and their rewards are very very nice.
You can get recipes for the following:
Alchemy - +35 Agility Pot/1 Hr, New Diamond Transmute
Enchanting - +30 healing to Bracer (Friendly), +6 Stats/Chest (Revered)
Blacksmithing - Shield

Will edit this post to include some items. :)

Looks awesome can't wait to play it :bigups: . Khadgar was the guy who destroyed the Dark Portal in Warcraft 1 or 2 I forget which one.

kinda makes you not want to do BWL and MC with that stuff coming out a mere weeks away.

Its kinda funny i just started more less on server we doing ZG now like 2 guilds doing MC and BWL, and just walking over to a bluebie dungeon we will negate all the work they spent in BWL
O_O

Yea I was wondering the same thing. Will they make the new instances tough enough where you need T1 or T2? It's going to be a challenge to balance the new content for end came and casual.

I'm not a WoW player, but have been talking to friends who are.

From what I've heard, the new instances are scalable, so you can set them as difficult as you like, with the best loot dropping on the most difficult level.

So really, you could probably skip MC/BWL, and just lower the difficulty till you get geared up a bit.

True from what Augo said.

You can make the Hellfire Citadel instances either Normal (Tier 0.5-Tier 1 gear) or Hard (Tier 1-2). The Hellfire Citadel 5 mans (Ramparts/Blood Furnace) are the 59-62 leveling grind instances.

I'm trying to get into Coifang instances (62-64 instances) but the Beta server is down until tomorrow afternoon for a new server interface and giant patch.

Gear so far out of the Hellfire Citadel instance is equal to about MC/BWL gear.

Rene thanks for the info.

Just to confirm ... I can level to 60 ignore most of the lvl 60 grind content (MC/BWL even ZG) and go to BC?

...
and PVP is much improved?

Sounds like a step in the right direction if true.

From the articles i've read of people in the beta, MC and BWL gear is replaced rather quickly. I think it was a mage that posted that he replaced his arcanist belt (MC mage set) after his first quest in BC. Estimates by players in the beta said you should replace all your MC/BWL gear by the time you get to level 65 and naxx gear will start to get outdated and replaced around level 67-68. So if you're not into raiding I wouldn't bother starting MC or even BWL seeing as how that gear will be obsolete fairly quickly. The pvp does look pretty good from what i've seen/read. The new matchmaking system and arena pvp should be a nice change of pace from the 24/7 grind that pvp is now. Also some of the locations for World PvP seem like they could come close to the good old days of RvR in camelot.

I'm 2 bars from level 66 now. The cap is currently 67 ><

Halaa is an awesome PvP spot (in Nagrand). Bring back old memories of Merlin and DAoC.

The reason why they are extending it to January: 1) Releasing 1.13 before expansion; 2) 3 zones are not ready yet for Beta players; 3) no one in beta high enough to do the first 25 man instance except for Death and Taxes; 4) The Holidays are coming and I'm sure the programmers want some extra time off; and a plethera of bugs they have yet to fix.

I'll post some updated SSs this evening.
