No open beta as of yet. They said at some point they plan on letting a lot of people into the beta, but it'll take more than just downloading the client from Fileplanet.

For the beta players can you tell us anything about WAR generally in terms of comparing it to DAOC and WOW without breaking NDA?

I'm considering getting a new box with VISTA which I *hear* may help my chances of getting in.

Nothing yet Zoid besides whats on the website. We also need to be carefull in respect to the NDA because Mythic is on these boards.

me and sectoid have gotten the beta key and entered it just waiting for the email to tell us to download and start using it

did you log in your beta account to add the key?(where you signed up for the beta) If not do that so you will get the instructions

All we did was go to a game convention and we won beta association codes, so we're still waiting to actually get invited.

but you have to put the code on your beta sign up account in order to get the instructions. At least that's what I remember doing. Within like 48 hours I was able to go in game and play after i entered in the code.

Ah we didn't get anything like that, they just told us we'd have to wait to get invited and that the codes just said we had a spot reserved, but not that we would get in right away.

any ideas how to get a promotional code, or a way to increase my chances to get in. All i got now is Veteran war newsletter.

Any places I can join, newsletters, forums, etc ?

I tried to play lotro to pass the time, but damn its boring.

If you want to pwn bitches for fun you can check out Archlord. they just made it free.. It's not OMG this is the best PVP game ever.. but it like damn I bored... WOW I just owned this guy camping a portal in 3 seconds and now have a 1mil bounty on my head. SWEET lets go kill him again just for fun!

this sucks, I have a lot more free time than i thought I would now. So now I really want to get into beta. Especially since it's free, and opening lotro again would cost me $15 a month.
