I remember the newsletter saying they are opening up beta in December again, including guild betas i thought. Anyone got some inside info if that is the case and when in December this might happen?

i just got kicked out the beta =P

think jan first for closed beta players.. feb for the guild invites/contest winners.

don't get your hopes up. the game is not all it's cracked up to be.

the age of daoc is over. and the age of WoW clones has begon.

unless they make some major improvements, the game is just a cookie cutter pve game with a sub level pvp focus.

it's not no where as in depth as the DAOC RvR was..(unless they make some major changes)

ya i was just hoping for a free game to play over winter break

yea but it's fun for about a week, then you realize that game is a long ways from an actual release, global cooldown can suck my left nut; and there is no pvp except Tier 1 and not enough people to run an instance. Plus huge combat bugs and overpowered healers making the pvp either a 1shot kill or, impossible to kill 1 war/mnk without a group. After about a few hrs of leaving bullshit pvp your left with grinding up and doing quests in a identical Lord of the Rings quest system with DAOC Pve and ghosting mobs, and porting mobs threw walls.

Like Bulor said they have a long way to go to make a Pvp game daoc once was. This game already has too much hype. The last game that I've seen this type of hype was Dark and Light, and after introducing open beta the game was a complete farse to what the developers had us believe on their website. I still consider it the biggest MMO con's ever. Tell people your making a good game, take people's money for pre-orders then pull the plug and high tail and run. I crack dealer on the street has more credit then that company. Leave it to the french to develop the worst mmo game ever!

But yea take some time and look at Potbs and Age of Conan. Both have some potential that is equal to Warhammer. However I don't think any game will be ever like daoc. Otherwise we would of seen them already.

yes, "vocal" is me, becuase i would not just agree to what they claim is "right" how is one supposed to test a game correctly, if you are forced to just agree with what they push on you.

That is pretty lame. If you were not being constructive and throwing tantrums and speaking poorly of the community I could see it. You put far more effort into testing then anyone else in hope of making what you viewed was needed thought. It's kind of fucked up they handled the situation so immature.

They should've offered you a job... hah

Maybe they should put a "fanboi" only clause in the NDA. You have to agree most MMO beta's are a marketing ploy to promote the game anyways. With 500k players signed up. No need adding thought to the WoW Gravy Train.

But I second the motion for law as president of EA/Mythic!
