That is definitely interesting that they are asking that. I don't know if it would work though, just look at the daoc shards, they aren't popular at all really.

The problem with the shards is you never know if they are going to be there in a month. Once the guy that runs it decides he doesn't want to do it anymore they are gone. I am still going to play conan and might give this new server a try if conan doesn't work out. I just ordered two new upgrades for me and Lamm so Conan better be fun. hehe

ZOMG

It is too little too late, in terms of new getting new players in the game but it definitely would bring back some old subscribers.

Sadly, I WOULD ditch AOC to run around in Old Frontiers again. I had too much fun in emain to turn my back on a chance to get that back again.

Granz, your mail server is using an inactive blacklist that is blocking everyone.

Update: ORDB has "listed the entire world" -- returning any query with a "listed" response. The result is that if you still have ORDB in your mail server config files, you're now blocking 100% of your inbound mail. For anyone still trying to "use" ORDB, you're not going to receive any inbound mail until you disable queries to it.

Yeah I noticed that last night. But thanks for telling me. I will have to fix that in Sendmail.

Holy shit, if they did this, I would love to play DAoC again. The main thing that stops me from resubscribing is the fact that I hate NF. Sure, it was fun at first, but there was just far too much ground to cover to find fun fights, and teleporting to keeps was gay.

I would even make a few of my friends play it too. I tell them all the time that if DAoC had come out after WoW alot more people would probably have/still be playing it. How many people would actually start over in DAoC for it though, and if it happened, which realm would we play? Personally, I've always been partial to Hib/Mid, and if we're going for nostalgia, then I would have to say Mid, but I'd play whatever. Oh to relive the happy days.

edit: I would probably ditch most games for it also, personally, I rate all my pvp experiences/fun entirely on how much fun I had in DAoC when I was playing it. You can do competitive 8mans, zerg around, or fight over keeps, and everyone is tied into the same endgame for the most part. It may or may not have been the best PvP on the market, but it's by far the most fun I've had in a game, especially old frontiers pre ToA.

I like the smoothness and quick pace of WoW pvp, DAOC in comparison would feel slower :(

I remember going back and forth when WoW first came out. Considering WoW hsa gotten no smoother aside from hardware upgrades, I don't think I'll mind at all ><

I am definitely interested in coming back for the original DAoC pvp! WoW is getting boring...
