AOC System requirements

Postby boubou » Fri May 09, 2008 9:57 am

Did anyone find a correct system to test my computer for AOC. I found 1 and the test says I am above the minimum, the problem is that the information I got from the forums is that my computer wont be able to play this game. If you find anything let me know, I cant change my whole computer right now, but I got the budget for maybe some memory and graphics card.

Thanks,

Boubou

This may be a little dated Boubou but try this http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

I think having a graph card that can use direct X 10 and 4 megs of ram is a good start.

I passed close to the minimun, but I dont know if my card takes directx10, will check tonight, and I only have 1 gig ram, I was thinking going to 2, I had no idea people had 4 now.

It seems I got used to my xbox360 that does not need to be upgraded.

I pass on minimum, just shy of recommended, but it still didn't run very well on my machine. This was before the most recent patch though, where apparently many issues were fixed? I'm just going to take a copy from work and try the final release.

Can anyone tell me how much space is required for the game. It says 30 gig in the test, but I have never seen a game so large.

I want to try the game and see if I like it before I change my computer. The only thing I dont have right now to play as minimum is the 30 gig.

My current rig is as follows:

AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 3800+ 2.1 GHz
EVGA VC-Nvidia Geforce 7600 512mb
2 x 1024 MB Super Talent pc3200 DDR 400mz Ram(the mobo has 2 free slots for more ram.
Asus A8N32-sli Motherboard
80 gig sata hard drive(this is real problem. I will probably by a new HDD as well as the ram)

I am looking to purchase another 2 gigs do you think this will be enough or should I upgrade more?

I'm not a hardware geek anymore, but that is going to be your biggest bottleneck I think. The difference between an 8600 and 8800 is pretty significant. I play low or med depending on the area with my 8600, and it is a tad jerky at medium. Mosthula has an 8800 and otherwise similar box, and he can play at high, with a bit of jerkiness.

More ram never hurts of course :)
