Well that was fun. I received an email in the middle of the night saying my account email has been changed and sure enough when I attempt to log in there is no account for this email. I have a ticket submitted but it could take days or longer to get a response. Awesome game, terrible security and service.

Was the email address associated with your GW2 account used in a previous MMO such as WoW? The same happened to my co worker and a few other people on various forums I visit and each and every one of them had used the same email address in WoW or Rift. It took Anet a good two days to fix this for my co worker. Sorry this BS happened bro.

Thanks fellas. It was my old WoW email Zera however my WoW account has since moved to a brand new email. I've never been hacked before and this was a good learning lesson. I will always create a new and independent email for any MMO account. Yesterday I was beyond pissed but after cooling down I am glad it happen earlier then later.

Update: I received an email for additional information (toon name on account for example was one) and a thanks for your patience but you are still in queue for resolution. It looks like the are expediting hacked tickets but I don't expect to hear anything over the weekend. This is horse shit! I'm running low on excuses not to do the errands around the house I've been procrastinating on.
