I remember reading some posts awhile back about some people experiencing more lag spikes after the last patch and it being related to a program of some type that was included in the Foundations download. It was apparently some type of program that reported back to a company about usage, or something like that. I've searched several boards and can't seem to find it again. I've been experiencing quite a few lag spikes resulting in ld's lately and want to check this out. Does anyone know where I can find more information about this?

It was if you used the gamespot downloader. That downloader is also a file uploader. What it'd do is allocate a small amount of data to your machine and you would upload to other users secretly.
Uninstall that and things should be ok.
