The group consisted of 2 warriors, 2 savages, one sklad, one aug speced shaman, and 2 healers, one of which was pac/mend and the other aug/mend.
I have heard good stories of such groups and what you may have heard is true. We owned every single group encounter we had. Of course it helped that we all asssisted with one warrior hanging back to watch the healers and shaman.
We even encountered Shux's grp solo, but at the time had Screamercy(RM) instead of 2nd warrior.
Both savages were HTH, and both warriors were hammer speced. The warriros were predominatly using Conquer/Frost hammer combo. The savages effectively prevented druids and bards from kiting them, and the warriors made sure that charging tanks did'nt get to the healers.
While this is a damn good gank grp for single grp encounters, it probably wont do well in large scale battle where AE is everwhere uless you have a dedicated mage grp for range to counter ae.
It would be nice to see us put together a tank and mage grp to see how well we could do agaist superior #'s, because Midgard is behind in pop. Food for thought.
Godorn...
Recent experience in a "savage/warrior" group
i have been running around with 3-4 savages 1 skald 1shaman / rm 2-3 healers, its worked nice realy, but the shaman is needed, :\ we died to hib melee groups couse of lack of end regain
Any way
We got 2 savages in bwc, and Greak`s sav is 49 atm, we got 2 new heals, and a new skald
So we can easy get a nice group going Godorn.

Any way

Is End 5 an absolute must or will End 4 be sufficient?
Speed 6 is a big advantage. Can you count on everyone having Long Wind 1?
I'm thinking of respeccing Joshll either back to 32aug for end 4, or maybe temporarily going full aug and low cave.
(A shamans survival is lessened without PBAE disease at 27/37 cave so I'd hate to give that up if I am going to actively play the account.)

There is nothing wrong with 1-2 casters in a tank group, as long as they know how to root effectively. Most 8v8 gank groups run around with high resist buffs thus killing any damage output by a mage. If a caster is to run in group he has to know: How to /assist tanks, Root tanks off healers/himself, Nearsight if he has it, nuke and send pet on a druid/bard if he has it to keep them interupted.
Does a shaman need end 4? No, you dont need to run at speed 6. The end factor is more for the ability for you seer classes to kite since savages have self end and the Charge ability. As long as shaman is Rooting, AE diseasing, and healing most people will be a happy camper.
As for assists, the best way to do it over my years of experience is if you get 4 tanks together, or even 3... Setup 2 MA's. Preferably a savage/warrior then savage/warrior as the two teams for godorns most recent team. Because honestly, what good does it do facing 2 bards and 2 druids to assist all tanks onto 1 target? YOu drop them and they are rezzed like that... This way you send your two teams and drop say both the bards, run instantly over to druids and drop them or the recently rezzed bards. I say a savage/warrior(zerker, sb, thane, whatever) because h2h savages lack a positional snare, and that other tankw ill be able to snare the target while you guys rip him to shreds. Savages also need to learn how to us charge ( a non end costing ability for when you sprint at a target), Insta Taunt to interrupt casts, and if your healer is screaming for a peel to run back there hit clans call and run back to your primary target. Oh yea, and healers need to learn how to demezz as well. Just because they have high deter and purge doesn't mean you dont have to do it if they are saying "demezz"
