Big DAoC patch

Postby Augomatic » Thu Mar 17, 2005 3:00 pm

Looks like they are adding "RvR" missions, kinda cool, no real explanation on the rewards yet, but looks neat.

Coolest part is that you can smash towers to the ground now.

Also a big patch due out in a few hours, most think it will be a big love patch for all the original SI classes.

Thats funny... I remember the poll that asked whether players would want RvR missions or instanced RvR... I find it amazing that people would prefer RvR missions over instanced RvR.... organized 8v8 in an isolated environment would kick ass IMO and would probably drive me to come back to the game.... RvR missions i say meh i could really care less. I doubt this feature will bring many people back to the game.... dumb mythic imo

I disagree. Instanced RvR would mean that "regular" RvR would completely dry up, since most would not wander around the frontiers looking for a fight if they could get one instantly.

Plus it would take all the randomness out. If you're in a pickup group, and you go do the instanced RvR, your gonna get owned by the guild groups, which happens in regular RvR, but at least you can farm a tower a bit, or happen across smaller groups.

The result most likely would have been RvR for a few weeks that quickly dried up.

The new missions help everyone, since now the low RR toon has a chance to go out and earn some RPs to catch up, and meanwhile, the established people will potentially get more targets to pick on.

I don't know if there are enough hours remaining in my lifetime for Mythic to spend the appropriate period of time eating my ass with a spoon.

Worst. Company. Ever.

Nevermind, nothing to see here.

Just a big old Warlock nerf and a bunch of graphics changes and other gay things.

So, this World of Warcraft game....

most ppl voted for missions instead of instances pvp

because the instanced pvp you got no rps ppl play for rp's so that was droped by most players inculding 8man teams

Vampirrs are extremly difficult to beat 1vs1. Ive seen a warrior beat one though.

if a vamp wasn't just in a fight with a mob/person warrior should win most of the time
