I would appreciate it if you returned the Shades of Mist you just took after I killed all of the mobs. Just because the majority of the guild has moved on doesn't mean that you should remain to slash BWCs reputation as a current and active gm.

Hey Hloden, return Marlboro's SoM. He doesn't deserve to have it stolen from him. At least have some respect for a past alliance member. BWC used to come down on anyone in the alliance that stole arti's, this just isn't right.

As for BWC, I'm not, nor have I ever been the acting GM of BWC. BWC in DAoC is retired.

To make the issue more clear, I have disbanded Hloden from the DAoC BWC guild, so that way there is no confusion. I'll remove my other toons when I get a chance, unless some officer takes offence and feels like removing them. Only reason I was still guilded was to keep in touch with the few that log on once a month.

As to the incident in question, I asked politely if your guildie could make a BG for credit for my skald, the only character there that can even use SoM. I was ignored, and in a compelling act of kindness towards a "former alliance member", he proceeded to go ahead with the encounter, when all he had to do was type /bg invite.

I didn't even think you could pick it up anymore. After a week of running around to every encounter and having them always down, or camped by the same groups of SM's + Shammy bots, and seeing 15-20 of every arti for sale on the same 3 CM's, screw it. Despite the fact that I have an ML10 BD, I've never done an arti encounter I didn't need, and even when I need it, I'll group with whoever is nearby.

Oh, and don't give me some nonsense about how he needed it. He knew exactly what he was doing, and how to do it. It was obvious he had done it many times before.

The only people I'll apologize to is BWC, it wasn't something I planned, and would not have stayed in the guild before doing something I even considered would be against the guild.

Meh he wasn't suppose to be rank 0. Bulor must have promoted him when I was long gone. Even so, 90% of BWC is currently in WoW. And Hloden was like the only 1 playing on Merlin atm (other than Snod, Nilbert but they are in established guilds). I still don't like it when people "claim" towers and keeps on behalf of the guild. THE GUILD IS DEAD, GONE, FINITE. So stop claiming just because Drutt is m'f-ing crying for a guild to claim.

Anyways, back to what happened...isn't it always the SoM artifact that causes the same old Bullshit whinefests? SOM is a fubared encounter. You win some and you lose some. Nothing you can really do. I don't think I particularly care this time. If it happened, he wasn't acting on behalf of the guild or what not (since its been dead for over 4-5 months) but his own personal interest. So I recommend you guys take it amongst yourselves rather than making it into a "BWC DAoC" issue.

Although I'm glad it's subtle on VN. heh.

Like I said...this issue is between you and him. Don't make this into a "BWC" issue because it's not. And frankly we're not going to do anything because WE DON'T PLAY DAOC and WE DON'T CARE. Hloden even said he wasn't even part of the guild...he was just in it to have a tag which is still odd imo.

I play DAoC because I'm on a WoW honor system break...but I'm on a different server and don't have to deal with trivial "cry-fests".

Actually I'm curious...what alt were you trying to get the artifact for this time? As I recall a similar incident occured almost a year ago and we almost had to boot 2 guilds out of our alliance because of it. You take this game way too seriously if you are still being "cheated" out of something you may have on 5-6 other toons. And people still freaking cry when you take an artifact like Cloudsong when they claim they camped over 4 days when they are only trying to make their EBAY plat gold sale quota...

There have been a ton of times I've been fucked over artifacts (namely Mxio) and I don't spout off to their guild forums claiming they stole my mob with their SM. Like I said you win some and lose some.

Anyways, this issue is between you and him and you can do whatever flame war you want because its a non-issue from where we stand.

Aw, come on guys, he took this to the BWC boards because Hloden was a BWC member and showed as a GM on the Herald. I think anyone in the same place would've done the same thing. We know you've said BWC is dead, but we see people w/a BWC tag all the time in game and you're fairly active on the VN Merlin board. So, what Marlboro did was correct. I'm sure any one of you would've done the same thing in his place. So, Hloden is apparently a jerk and has disbanded from BWC. I doubt there's anything that can be done now except to warn others about him which has been done on several alliance boards. But, that aside, there's no need to flame Marlboro for doing what needed to be done by posting here. If you're gone, then perhaps you should either close some of your forums that are visible to non-BWC members and put up a large message on your main page that you are no longer on DAoC.

Technically the DAOC forums were consolidated and closed to the public. I didn't know a lot of people outside of our WoW group still had access to them. I'm sure when we did consolidate our alliance forums/ML planning that a ton of people still can view our DAoC drama.

If you see ppl online on Merlin, its probably me trying to transfer gold, Vmax's sold toons, Snodiugs or Nilberrts alts and Hlodens toons, which equals out to like 5 people.

Heh, I'd rather take WoW "omg you ninja-ed my BOP Rend blade from Blackrock Spire. Don't group w/XXX guild/or member" than "omg DAoC faulty artifact encounter caused ninja hack! Don't group w/XXX guild/or member." At least bind on pickup is a big deal than someone complaining that their 8th alt didn't get SoM. Deal with Hloden. Not with people in BWC guild, others. Thanks.
