I will join the new server.

My experience is mostly albion (5 50s) on merlin and played ranger and savage on mordred.

I am currently with BWC WOW

I will make a tank, not sure between Warrior, savage or zerker.

Some people are saying that less buffs will make savages weaker.

I am really not sure which to make, I dont mind some insight. I totally loved playing my merc in rvr, so is zerker best choice, or do warriors which can change from 1h to 2h better, or are savages still a good choice.

Let me know, once server opens up, I want to be 50 fast, and dont want to reroll, I want to stick to 1 all the way.

You're going to be fully buffed if your out in RvR, most mid groups will be running 2 shamans to do it. If your not, doesn't really matter which of the three you take.

Here's basically a quick overview of those three:

Savage: Most DPS in the game generally, especially if your 2H. If you go H2H, you get really high utility for a melee with excellent styles, including some nice stuns. Biggest problem is that against other tanks, they have low weapon skill, and can have trouble hitting. They also have generally low defence, and will drop fast.

Zerker: Great DPS, when Vendo'd, is REALLY great DPS. Have good WS, so can hit other tanks better than a savage as well. They also have the plus of getting the Charge RA, which is nice, along with Determination. Only real drawback is poor defence (comparatively), and no shield. Basically, this is the equivalent of your merc.

Warrior: Solid DPS, but not as good as zerks/savages. Great defence though, and they have the ability to easily switch from huge 2H damage, to 1H + Shield to slam/increase their defence/block for casters.

Which of the three is "best" is totally situational, and depends on what your fighting. Savages are probably the most complicated, with lots of button pushing. Zerkers are fun for pure on damage, and Warriors are a solid, though somewhat boring class at times to play, but are arguably the best "heavy" tank in the game.

I'm actually tempted to give this new server a try and if i do i'll possibly roll a mid, since the PvP in WoW just completely blows and the PvE is starting to get old i dunno how much longer i'll stay subsribed to Blizz. Anyway, i've been an alb through most of the time I played daoc except for my 50 BM on mord so i'm a Mid noob, I would appreciate a few tips on any good lvling spots. :P

The old zones on all three realms were recently completely revamped as far as mobs go, and to be honest, I haven't taken the time to look.

Best place to level is Catacombs. Instances for XP, regular zones for loot. The zones are pretty small, and progress pretty regularly in terms of levels. They are also REALLY full comparitively with mobs, but all have a really small agro radius. You can also do the Adventure wings, which give Aurolite, which is kinda like DF seals. Lets you buy items, which is nice.

For PBAE, good luck at low levels. Lots of PBAE groups seem to be forming, so will be tough unless you can "stay ahead of the curve". At 50, best spot is Moderna, but that will be hugely camped, so Ting's plan to go to Malmohus is a good one.

Malm is great, a bit far to get too though, and is much easier to get wiped at.
