Need warrior info.

What about race, I really want to play a kobold warrior, from what I read in posts, they mistake us for shamans, which makes shamans live longer, and makes the warrior stun a few more stupid ennemies.

Would be harder to level, but in pve groups, I read that the kobold warrior can block anything, can hold aggro all night long.

If not, then I go for pure damage and go troll, but the look on peoples face when they get killed by a little blue guy must be priceless.

well if you are going to be running mainly 8mans then they would have to be stupid to think the shaman is in the assist train with a 2hander on his back

edit: play whatever class you want but everyone will tell you troll is the race of choice, with norse coming in second

Troll warrior outdamages Kobold warrior. But strategically I always loved Kobold and often wished I was a kobold warrior. Psychologically enemies dont expect a kobold warrior and not many pay attention at what weapon you have equiped. You can always equip a 1 H anyway and switch with the hit of a hot key. I used to laugh watching Kobold warriors walking up to enemies that would run if I approached them and SLAM, WHAM, 2H WTFPWN chains, and caster is dead never even realizing that a kobold warrior was there. Luri Heroes used to do it to me all the time. As a warrior I would see my HP slowly droping with melee damage, wtf is that coming from? I would twist and turn f12 like a mofo to find its a small Luri hero, by the time I notice he almost has me dead. Kobold warrior is a strategic advantage but it does leave other classes to be exposed for first attacks also.

I am playing a Troll Warrior on the new server probably why Ting mentioned it specifically in his team.

I played a 50 thane on Merlin for along time and a 50 Pally on Lancelot for a long time.

My spec is gonna be 50 Sword 42 Shield (no point in taking in higher) and 39 Parry. Been fooling around with a warrior for a week or so now and he hits really hard. Was hammer spec on hane and it was weak. Sword seems to be nice so far.

My main job is to guard/protect healer(Grumpy) and hit and destroy anything that tries to attack him.

If we are OK on warrior, I dont mind doing a Savage, but I cant find any sites or good discussion groups on how to play one. 2H H2H, races, quickness effects, and all these abilities that only seem to work for 15 sec, I dont want to press on 6 buttons before I start fighting.

Plus, is it bad to have 2 warriors in a group, from what I read, warriors are great, great damage, good defense, etc. I remember I was scared of troll warriors when I played my minst, stun, mezz, they just kept comming.

Also, it would be nice to know who is playing what, this way we can fill the holes. There was a list, but its been a long time.

Think of it this way. We are planning on trying to run 2 full guild groups on weekends which means we need 2 identical set ups or as close to it as possible. But you should play the class you are comfortable with as we dont want to see people level to 50 then say oh I didnt want to play this I wanted this... then not come out for RVR cause they are leveling some other toon. Play what is needed that you like cause not everyone is going ot play every day and night.

Right now I am down with 2 choices, warrior or shaman.

Warrior is my first choice, race to be studied, kobold is fun, and helps out the shamans, or troll for huge damage and to help out healers. Warrior is good choice cause we need 3 dps per group. All around solid class. I was a good merc, could do well there.

Shaman, aug/cave probably around 43a/31c. This class will be so required and I expect that its the class that all group will have problems finding 2 for their 8man group. Probably hard to level, but I really expect the guild to help me level it if I decide to go that way. I played ice theurg which the number 1 job was interupting and remove tanks from our casters.

Not an easy decision, I want to concentrate on 1 toon to give him the highest RR as fast as possible.

my plan is to level a skald and a shaman at the same time. at 40 im going to respec the shaman to cave. I'm doing this because we have 3 skalds including myself, so if we are overloaded on skalds and are only running one group, I can run the shaman. You might consider doing the same. My main will be the skald but the shaman will be a backup

yes I will do that, who knows I might end up liking the shaman.

Plus I got a little help to level, my father is retired and he likes to play, he is a great at pve. He will level the shaman, or the warrior/shaman combo.

Will do the same, go all the way to my spec in buffs, then start going cave.

Levelling in instance, with end buffs, and fully buffed, my warrior will as fast or faster with shaman, then if he were alone and dungeon easier. This way I can level them up together and not really lose any time.

Shaman will have crappy gear until 40 but I can live with that, I will get a shaman to help me level, and guild gets a backup shaman.

Now I need to figure out what spec warrior, what race, and same for shaman. For shaman, people say that kobold get attacked right away, but afraid that a troll shaman will be slow to do the interupts.

Any thoughts on races.

Frostalf (spelling?) is a good choice. Shaman mana is based on piety, I think, so that race will have more mana if you go cave and use it to cast.

The frostalf have good piety, but they have a permanent arrow on their head (like the hunters one from WOW) thats says kill me first.

For a shaman, is casting speed more important than mana ?

I would probably go kobold, I just loved that race, they small, fast, and they cute.

Or I could go troll, and have people think I am a defensive troll warrior, skald or even thane (if they still exists)

I remember after they finally gave a bit of love to the thane, like 100 mids did /20 or /30 and all did thanes, then they went and took the MK in emain, I remember killing a few, but damn, they were just too many.
