Although detractors decry (MMA) as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally fucking awesome form of human cockfighting. -The Onion

If you wanna see some true whores, check out my old guildmates, Conquest:

Most of them are L60 already, and they've started doing the epic raids apparently. Dunno how many there are though ,heh.

Look at their class balance, it's completely planed (mage, priest, paly, warrior). I saw them outclass everyone on Andred. We have several ex-CQ in this guild that got a little bored of mandatory play times etc.
The greatest thing Itz has ever accomplished; was manage to recruit so many complete computer g33ks into one guild. I really do respect that guild because no guild can turn in their man hours. Completely sad in RL terms but you can only hope CQ remains in a PvP enviro long enough to watch them in a skill contest. Besides Nerfed; their the best around.

Oh, I'm well aware of Itzlegend, when myself and 4 friends went to Conquest, he decided we were uber, and always wanted us in his group (well, mostly my 4 friends, but I got pulled in as well). He possesses just enough of that egomaniac control quality to make him a good leader.
On Andred, most of them took at least a weeks vacation, some two, the day the server opened, and PL'd all the way up to 50. It was actually kinda cool, the whole thing was like an epic raid, but scalled down (ie, in the 20's, they raided Spindelhalla with 50 people). However, now that I'm actually working, and not in school, the thought of using some of my precious 3 weeks vacation on something other than travel scares me
You hit the nail on the head though. They were very much about playtimes and contributing 100%. No way I could even come close to that level of play anymore, despite playing quite a bit. Even though I'm on most nights, it just feels crappy when you HAVE to be on each night.
The one thing I really liked about Conquest was the way Itz divided up loot. Maybe its not specific to them, and it was a lot of work on his part, but it seemed to work well. Everytime you went on a raid, you got Raid Participation Points. When an item dropped, it was bid on, and whoever was willing to spend the most Raid Participation Points on it, got it. That way, if someone started not showing up for raids etc, they couldn't just show up for the one where the item they wanted dropped and hope to get it on /random. Conversely, if there was an item you really wanted, you could just save up a pile of RPP and have a good shot at getting it. As I said though, he had to track all that crap, and I'm surprised anyone has done it for so long.

Oh, one last thing to clear up the mystery.
Conquest is really good at PvP, heheh. I know it looks suspicious since they seem to not last long in games, which is just when the competition revs up. I never understood why people thought that they were only good at PvE, since although the two are different, the same types of things (knowing your char, reacting quickly, and teamwork) are involved.
On Merlin/Mid, I'd regularly see a FG of Conquest take out 3-4 FG zergs. They were always really coordinated, and if someone broke mez, or strayed off assist, or didn't play their class at 100%, it was rare.
Our record was a group of 5 of us took out 20 albs.
Mind you this was back in the days of no purge, chain mez, etc.

Yep. The only "skillful" PvP thing I hear (from ex-CQ memebers) was required in CQ was always to assist. If you didn't assist you got bitched out. Almost noone assisted in the begging days of DAOC, Thanes and RMs always used to AE and break CC. Assisting and radaring in early daoc when neither was common would have made anyone look good.
