ok here goes tell me what ya think ...
when i used to play UO ( Ultima Online ) we used to have PVP tournments.
Its sorta like BattleGround but ..1v1
Basically we get like 20 people from all other guilds and BWC included that are lvl 60 .we have them pay lets say 5g to join the tounry ..
we hold it in random spots arena / dueling pits etc.. everyone duels each other 1v1 ..2x elimination ( we would have to pick and choose who duels who with a random paper pulling outta a hat..) ;x
winner takes all gold ..
Its just an idea as of now if we get a few people to
put there thoughts into it , i think it will be fun ...
and might be more enjoyable to pvp while we wait for battle ground..
P.S.. it will also train our not so good pvp'rs the ropes.. we could do it jsut btwn BWC member for fun and exp in pvp..
- again its just a thought

UO was more of a level playing field for every character. In WoW, some classes are just inherently good at beating other classes. None are really bad in pvp, but it's sort of a rock paper scissors kind of deal. Warriors can generally beat rogues if they don't get a jump (and even when they do), which is the case in a duel, rogues can usually beat mages, and mages can usually beat warriors. Of course, pvp skill is a factor, but it's still kind of skewed between classes. UO was just a much more appropriate system for dueling, in my opinion. WoW is oriented more for group PvP, so different classes can complement their buddies and compensate for flaws.
Actually, I have no idea if a rogue beats a mage in a duel, having never played one in pvp. I was just using it as an example.

Well, what if there isn't enough of each class?
Personally, I say let people choose their groups and go at it. Don't even have to make it for gold. Just set a night and make people go.
I think it'll be a ton of fun and I would love to participate.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.
