Depends on which Cobra you're referring too.... The already supercharged cobra (03) or the pre-sc version ;) 03 cobra at the price you stated has 400 + hp already (Claimed 390 by ford but dyno'd over on private tests) You add gears and beefier tires and if you're talking pure quarter mile time only you'll be low 12's easy (thats about 2k in mods with just gears and tires alone) but of course you loose a little top end speed for the low end speed. I've been a quote un quote street racer since I was was 16, pre Fast and Furious days. No point in trying to match an e-penis with me :p If you beat me, then you beat me... doesn't hurt my ego you paid a grip for your car for preformance and got it out of it... That's how I see it and if you try to run around acting like your invisable you'll just end up burned 10x worse in the end by a Civic that will pull up next to you, total sleeper looking but will have a swapped engine with a big turbo hooked to it, and you'll know you're in for shit when you hear this blow off valve over the revv's of your car... Me personally I'll probably go for a non-SC'd cobra just so I can do the Turbo thing ;)

add-on: I don't hate any 'car' per say, I just reallly fucking hate ricer mentality kids in imports acting like their hot shit with body kits and coffee cans for exhausts.... /vent off on those little faggots now!

newer ones seem too boxy...and just don't seem mean enuf...even tho they gots way more more HP :car30:

not hard to beat a stock anything warcat... go take your raced out supra to the track against raced out mustangs or go find a turbo mustang.. see how you get destroyed ;) Everyone likes to talk shit about this car and that but they never remember that there is alway a faster car out there then theirs. I like all cars, just hate stupid drivers that think they are 10x better then everyone else... Mustang's probably aren't the first vehicle to race out in Canada, but come to America..... You will find an abundance of mustangs that will smoke the shit out of anyone ;) Turbo Mustang Vs. Turbo Supra is one of the best rivalries there is, entertaining and fun. They hate each other, talk shit about each other.... But there is always someone faster then the other and in the end no one ever wins the argument on which is better...

Gun, I'm afraid I must cry a little bullshit here. Your car from the factory made 325-335hp the crank and about 270-285 RWHP. With Dinan software, air intake, and exhaust you are likely in the 300RHWP range, and if you have made it to 310 you got lucky and have an outstanding engine. Heck, BMW's cost is no limit M3 CSL from the factory has 360 crank hp.

In car and drivers latest issue there is a review of the Dinan S2 M3. Basically every N/A mod they have to the M3. $18,000 for a crank increase of 36 hp (to 361hp). Suprisingly it's quarter mile and 0-60 didn't change at all. But it's skidpad numbers jumped way up.

Now, have I told you that the year my M3 (97) was made Road and Track voted it the "best handling car in the world regardless of price"?!!! Yah, thats what an M3 is all about. It is one of the easiest cars in the world to drive fast and is more forgiving of driver error than the other supercars. And you can also be sure that anyone that can beat you in the quarter mile will have nowhere near the engine life or reliability you will always have. :biggrin:

I have a 73 Z28 that I work on, but I might as well be burning my money with the way it eats it up. Will be needing to replace the engine, transmission and the rear end as the current set up is just not reliable ( 350 stroked 383, Lunati cam, Edelbrock highrise manifold with a Holley 850 on top, crane rocker arms, MSD pro 6 ignition system ) especially with the old 4 speed still in it. Would like to get an engine built, but, well thats a different story. Wish me luck on figuring out some purchases this Holiday, I'll try and get some pictures scanned of the progress.

-- Edit -- If Im especially brave I might try to drive it to a get together sometime if I can get the new engine thrown in it...heh. As is driving it, I've had the cooling system rupture, the engine compartment catch on fire and just about anything else you can imagine, has happened. Including the battery and fluid resevoir fall out where the wheel well should be on the right side and onto the ground....Oh the stories.

Thank god for Joshll showing what a M3 is all about. I personally love M3's and think they are the best Super Saloon car that was ever made... Hell I'd get one if i could afford it :p
