Networking. I receive betas from various sources. Other gamers, guild invites, RL friends etc. It's nothing special...just being in the right place at the right time and most importantly knowing the right people. Keep trying and when you get in try to lock up multiple accounts. Once that happens network and trade with other's inside the beta community. You'll get invited to betas because you have participated in previous betas. Once you pop the cherry it gets easier.

Welcome to the Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs Beta test! Before we go
in to the
details of how to download the client, there are a few things you need
to know.

Catacombs is being designed to have no impact on RvR, other than the
new classes
that are being added in the expansion. If, during the course of your
testing, you find
something that you feel effects RvR, please let us know.

The beta is currently under NDA. During the installation process and
before you log in to
the game you will be presented with the NDA. Please take time to read
through it and
follow the Do’s and Don’ts. A copy of the NDA can be found below in
this email.

Do not take the new classes out of the new Catacombs area. From levels
1 through 4
you should be fine doing new player quests and the like in any area,
however once you
hit 5 and pick one of the new classes you must stay in the Catacombs
area. Once the
NDA is lifted you can take the new classes out to the old world areas.

Currently the Realms of Albion and Midgard are available for testing,
with Hibernia soon
to follow. Entrances to Catacombs can be found in the Capital City of
your realm. Check
patch notes for the specifics of the locations.

The Beta Client is set to run on the Pendragon Test Server. It is not
intended to run on
the Live servers, and the Catacombs areas are not available on the Live
servers.

Please do not send up bug appeals in game for Catacombs issues.
Catacombs bugs,
along with any other questions you may have, should be emailed to
beta@darkageofcamelot.com.

The client download for Catacombs requires a name and password in order
to download.
Do not share this name and password with anyone. Only accounts that
have been
flagged for beta can log in to the game using the Catacombs client, so
it will just be a
waste of time should people outside the beta try downloading it.

Do not attempt to install the Catacombs beta over your existing Camelot
play directory.
The installer has some very specific instructions, which are explained
further in this
message.

And now a word on bug reporting. When emailing in bugs please try to be
as precise as
possible. The more details we have, the quicker we can confirm the
issue and get it to
our Programming Team. Things that are very helpful in a bug report are:

* Zone Name
* Location in the zone
* Client Used
* Time of occurrence
* Name of the mob
* Class and level of the character you were using
* Spec
* Quest name and step number
* Can you reproduce it, and how you reproduced it

For Technical Issues:

* A copy of your DxDiag
* System specs
* Driver versions

Now a quick note regarding the installer. The installer needs to copy
files from your Trials
of Atlantis directory, and will prompt you for a directory containing
Trials of Atlantis with
New Frontiers. Note: The default location it will look is
C:\mythic\atlantis. If this is not the
directory you have Atlantis installed please provide the path to your
Atlantis directory.

Once the installer knows where it will copy the Atlantis files from it
will then prompt you
with the target installation directory; c:\mythic\catacombs_beta. While
you can choose
to install to a D: drive if you wish, make certain you install to a
catacombs_beta directory.
If you attempt to force the install into one of your pre-existing
Camelot directory you will
certainly run in to problems. Catacombs should not be run on the live
servers, and
attempting to install over one of your live client installs will cause
you nothing but trouble.

Also, once the installer begins to copy over the necessary Atlantis
files you will notice the
progress bar stays at zero percent. This is normal, and once the copy
is done you will
see the progress bar move as the Catacombs files are extracted and
installed.

The install file itself is approx. 700MB. To download, go to

http://<PM ME>

When prompted for a username and password enter the following:

Name: <PM ME>
Password: <PM ME>

Thank you and Welcome to Beta. We are sure you will enjoy your times in
Dark Age of
Camelot: Catacombs.

constitute an
employment agreement or offer of such an agreement, between Recipient
and Mythic
and that Mythic does not ask and/or require Recipient to work a certain
number of
hours, shifts, etc. as part of Recipient’s participation in the program
and that your

your participation;

(8) You agree that the implementation of any suggestions you make as
part of this
program are at the sole discretion of Mythic, and any such changes
shall be undertaken
by Mythic employees who are trained both in testing the software and

(9) You agree to all of the terms of the Agreement set forth below.

or otherwise make

Except for the revocable, limited license as expressly provided herein,

with Section 1.3,
Recipient agrees that Mythic and/or its licensors or licensees own all
rights, title, and
interests in any and all of Recipient's feedback and comments, without
any
remuneration, compensation or credit to Recipient. To the extent that
any of the rights

Recipient agrees to
assign such rights at such time as the rights are capable of being
assigned. Recipient
agrees at Mythic's request to execute such further documents and to do
such further

and/or its licensor's ownership of any of the rights, title and/or
interests hereunder, in
whole or in part including, without limitation, execution of a
copyright assignment in a
form provided by Mythic in its sole discretion. If Recipient fails or
refuses to execute any

which appointment is coupled with an interest and is irrevocable, to

other than in
accordance with this Agreement.

4 Injunctive Relief. Recipient acknowledges and agrees that a breach
or threatened
breach of any covenant contained in this Agreement would cause
irreparable injury, that
money damages would be an inadequate remedy and that Mythic shall be
entitled to
temporary and permanent injunctive relief, without the posting of any
bond or other
security, to restrain Recipient, from such breach or threatened breach.
Nothing in this
Section 4 shall be construed as preventing Mythic from pursuing any and
all remedies
available to it, including the recovery of money damages from
Recipient.

5 No Warranty; No Liability For Damages; No Support; Character Data.

5.1 No Warranty. Recipient acknowledges that the Beta Software is a
pre-release
version and is not a final Game and may be changed substantially before

release. RECIPIENT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE BETA SOFTWARE MAY WELL
CONTAIN ERRORS AND DEFECTS. THE BETA SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS"
WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF ANY KIND INCLUDING
WARRANTIES OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY,
NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD-PARTY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, OR FITNESS
FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

5.2 No Liability For Damages. IN NO EVENT SHALL MYTHIC, ITS DIRECT AND
INDIRECT PARENT, SISTER AND SUBSIDIARY CORPORATIONS, OR
EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS AND/OR DIRECTORS OF ANY OF THE ABOVE,
BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT
LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR
OTHER DAMAGES) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE
GAME, EVEN IF ANY OF THE ABOVE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY
OF SUCH DAMAGES. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, no
warranty is
made that the Beta Software will generate programs with the
characteristics or
specifications desired by Recipient or that the Beta Software will be
uninterrupted or
error-free. THESE DISCLAIMERS OF WARRANTY CONSTITUTE AN ESSENTIAL
PART OF THIS AGREEMENT.

5.3 No Support. Mythic does not provide any support for the Beta
Software. However,
Mythic may provide an e-mail address and/or a private message board for
Recipient to
send any questions and/or comments regarding the Beta Software. Mythic
does not,
however, make any representations or warranties as to the accuracy of
any statements
or advice provided in response to Recipient's e-mail(s) and/or board
postings.

5.4 Test Environment. Recipient acknowledges that the Beta Test
Software will run in a
test environment, that Game characters and/or character data may be
frequently wiped
or modified at Mythic's sole discretion characters and/or character
data shall likely not
be exported into the Game once the Game is commercially released.

6 Obligations of Participant in the Beta Program.

6.1 It is understood and agreed to that as part of the Beta Program the
Recipient is to
suggest changes, improvements, additions to the game as well as to
provide analysis of
the game and its features and that any such material provided to Mythic
in any form
whatsoever, including but not limited to email, text messages on
message boards and/or
oral become the sole property of Mythic and that Recipient waives any
rights to the

discretion, credit
Recipient for the material but failure to do so will not constitute a
breach of this
Agreement.

6.2 It is understood and agreed to that part of being part of the Beta
Program is the
responsibility to report all bugs, abuse of 'bugs', 'undocumented
features' or other such
things. It is the responsibility of the Recipient to report all
problems, errors or bugs in the
game to Mythic as soon as they are found. The continued used of such is
contrary to
Mythic’s policy as such bugs/errors can damage the game. Additionally,
if you know
about a bug or have heard about a bug and fail to report the bug to
Mythic, you will be
treated no differently from someone who abuses the bug. Anyone caught
abusing a bug
will be locked out of all Mythic products.

6.3 It is understood and agreed to that at the request of Mythic,
Recipient shall return to
Mythic any and all written and/or audio-visual materials and any other
Mythic Proprietary
Information delivered to Recipient for review. The return of the
material shall not affect
the obligations of Recipient to treat the Mythic Proprietary
Information disclosed to
Recipient as confidential.

6.4 It is understood and agreed to that Recipient continues to be bound
by Mythic’s full
EUALA and TOS agreements both which can be found on Mythic’s website,
and that
participation in the Beta Program does not supercede the EUALA nor
exempt its
applicability to Recipient’s conduct within the Game.

7 Miscellaneous.

7.1 Survival. The provisions of this Agreement, other than Sections
1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2, 3,
6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 shall continue in full force and effect even after (i)
the Beta Program has
been terminated or completed and/or (ii) Recipient's participation in
the Beta Program
has been terminated.

7.2 Governing Law; Jurisdiction. This Agreement shall be governed by
the laws of the
Commonwealth of Virginia, and by entering into this Agreement,
Recipient agrees to
subject him/herself to the jurisdiction of any court within the
Commonwealth of Virginia.
Recipient hereby waives any claim that such venue is improper or
inconvenient.

7.3 Severability. If any provision of this Agreement shall be held
invalid or unenforceable,
in whole or in part, such provision shall be modified to the minimum
extent necessary to
make it valid and enforceable, and the validity and enforceability of
all other provisions of
this Agreement shall not be affected thereby.

8 Entire Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement
between the
parties hereto relating to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all
prior oral and
written and all contemporaneous oral negotiations, commitments and
understandings of
the parties. This Agreement may only be changed or amended by a writing
signed by
both parties hereto.

9 Nothwithstanding the above, the Disclosee is permitted to discuss the
Mythic
Proprietary Information as set forth in Addendum A with
consent/permission of Mythic
which is granted upon Disclosee’s acceptance of this Agreement either
through email,
public or private message boards.

10 Nothwithstanding the above, the Disclosee is not permitted to
discuss the Mythic
Proprietary Information as set forth in Addendum B with
consent/permission of Mythic
which is granted upon Disclosee’s acceptance of this Agreement.

11 In the event that Disclosee violates any of the terms set forth in
this Agreement or in
the Code of Conduct as embodied in Addendum C, Disclosee hereby
acknowledges
that Mythic, in its best business judgment, may remove Disclosee’s
access to the Mythic
Proprietary Information as well as subject Disclosee to any legal
remedies that Mythic
may take.

ADDENDUM A

1. The fact that there is an Official Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs
Beta Test.

2. The fact that Disclosee is a member of the Official Dark Age of
Camelot: Catacombs
Beta Test.

3. Any details regarding the number of people currently participating
in the Beta Test.

4. Any details regarding the stability of the game.

5. General comments about the game’s overall development.

ADDENDUM B

1. Any contact/private information for Mythic personnel that is
provided to Disclosee.

2. Any contact information (address, password, etc.) to any private
areas, including but
not limited to, chat, email and message boards.

3. Any information/discussions/postings from the private Camelot
boards.

4. Any comments/information that would allow people who are not
currently part of the
Beta Test to get access to the Beta Test through either legitimate or
illegitimate means.

5. Post or distribute any pictures or screenshots of new content in
Catacombs.

6. Post or distribute any pictures or screenshots of the revised
character models.

7. Any comments or discussions on new player character classes outside
of the private
Catacombs forums provided by Mythic Entertainment.

8. Any comments on any aspect of the game not covered by Addendum A
above.

CODE OF CONDUCT

1. That you are privileged guests on this system and as guests, we
expect you to exhibit
common courtesy to all Mythic personnel. We will exhibit the same
courtesy towards
you.

2. You will be helping us shape Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs into a
great product
and we value your comments/insights/etc. However, that is not a
license to be rude,
nasty, demanding or generally unreasonably. Please remember that we
will be dealing
with a lot of people and, as such, a lot of differing opinions
regarding what is right or
wrong with the game. Just because we don’t agree with you doesn’t mean
we don’t
value your continued input.

3. We need your feedback. Your access as a beta tester for Camelot is
not a free ride
(that comes later), we expect something in return and that is your
help.

4. When posting messages about the game in our private message boards
or when
sending email, please try to be as professional as possible. Repeat
the facts as
accurately as you can and without undue emotionalism. Say things like
“This game
sucks because I lost my character when I did something that crashed the
game” is not
helpful. If you like something, don’t hesitate to tell us. By the
same token, if you do not
like something or think that something can be improved don’t hesitate
to tell us that as
well. You will never be banned, punished, taken to task, etc. for
speaking your mind in
an open, honest and professional manner. Honest, well thought out
criticism is as
valuable to us as are suggestions or praise.

5. When posting messages publicly about the game outside the Mythic
boards, please
keep in mind Point #1 above. We do not mind if you say things that are
critical about
the game but remember that we still have a long way to go. We do not
expect you to be
mindless shills for Mythic or for Camelot but neither do we expect you
to trash the game
just for trashing’s sake.

6. If requested by Mythic personnel to help test an aspect of the game,
please
cooperate. The sooner we work things out, the sooner the game goes
LIVE.

7. Vulgar expressions, course language, abusive behavior, verbal
harassment will not be
tolerated either towards Mythic personnel or other Beta Testers. The
use of such
language, whether or not you consider it IC, is not acceptable, whether
you use it in
casual and public speech, 'private links', contacts or even in a
character's name.

8. Part of Beta Testing a product is the responsibility to report all
bugs to Mythic. Abuse
of 'bugs', 'undocumented features' or other such things will not be
tolerated. It is the
responsibility of all players to report all problems, errors or bugs in
the game to Mythic as
soon as they are found. The continued used of such is contrary to ME
policy as such
bugs/errors can damage and delay the completion of this Beta Test.
Additionally, if you
know about a bug or have heard about a bug and fail to report the bug
to Mythic, you
will be treated no differently from someone who abuses the bug. Anyone
caught abusing
a bug will be locked out of all Mythic products on forever.

9. Any behavior that is contrary to the 'spirit of the game' as defined
by Mythic in its sole
discretion.

10. Representing yourself as a GM or employee, sub-contractor or
somehow being
connected with Mythic or with the Camelot staff. Any player who does
this will be locked
out of all Mythic products forever.

11. There is no right to privacy, constitutional, common law or
otherwise, once you are
inside Camelot. Mythic staff have the authority and ability to monitor
public and player
conversations as Mythic, in its sole discretion, deems necessary for
the ongoing running
of the game. However, the staff will not monitor any conversations
unless they believe
that the player or players involved in the conversations are engaging
in or planning to
engage in unacceptable behavior or if the player has been previously
warned that
his/her conversations will be monitored. Staff may also occasionally
monitor individuals
or groups in an effort to collect quality control information (i.e., to
help determine how
changes are affecting players or to observe results) from time to time,
but such
monitoring must generally be approved by Mythic in advance.

12. In the unfortunate event that a player has engaged in unacceptable
behavior, said
player will be treated accordingly. However, Mythic in its sole
discretion, reserves the
right to terminate the player’s access to the Dark Age of Camelot:
Catacombs beta test
immediately and without further notice.
