OK, how was the meeting? Good, bad, everyone show?
Did Rolondo puke himself again and was Snot missing hits pants like last meeting?

Although detractors decry (MMA) as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally fucking awesome form of human cockfighting. -The Onion

Actually, the turnout left much to be desired. An all GM/Officer meeting turned out to be a bunch of redelgated officer representatives with not much to contribute to the situation.

That mean nothing happened?
I was supposed to be there but had to work
Really sucks when RL interferes w/ gaming plans
Someone has logs of them meeting? i'm interested in looking at them.
You can email me at jdhumm@yahoo.com

We had a GM and an Officer there which is exactly what we intended to send as represtatives of Esprit. We are very interested in finding ways to spark more interest in RvR during this down period. We are small, but dedicated to working together to fight in the homeland and the frontiers. Please feel free to message any of us in-game for groups and such. We will do our part to make sure Midgard Merlin remains active and victorious!

Well, I disagree Aens. I was pleased to see an officer or two from each guild in the alliance. I don't know what more you want than that.
And regarding Wazzups statement about it being a "fiasco", all I've got to say it's it's real easy to say something is broken. People can whine all day about things but that doesn't make anything better. If you have a solution, then step forward and make a suggestion.
My thanks to all that attended. Didn't someone say they were going to log the meeting and post it?

Tingtong INC had btoh GM's and Officer there as well as many others. On a side note I swear I turned on my chat log but nothing happened, AS a natter of fact going through both computers none of any of my chat logs ever show housing logs. Maybe I am a noob or its a bug. Gonna try to make a chat log in housing tonight.
Regarding wazz's comments. I too felt like there was not much offered at the meeting but we did accomplish somethings and somethigns not. TH emain opinion of BWC adn UNfortunately my co-gm was/is to wait for better tiimes. Several solutions in the right direction were made and cast aside. Was very sorry to see that.
EX: Each guild ask for a volunteer for Allaince leader. They would all talk and meet each week and organize allaince events/raids/rvr. These would be people who actively play and who we can turn to when we see shit hitting in the fan and need to make a call to action.
EX: Several attempt were asked of BWC if they want/need someone to step forward and help with rvr more. The reply was no or i cant answer that right now.
ON A MORE POSITIVE NOTE:
We did however remove the inactive allaince guilds
We did find out BWC is not as active as before due to low online rate until TOA comes out. Then they expect a major resurgance.
We did find out Several guilds are resurging with a new wave of level 50's or returning to the sever.
Several guilds have lost several members(such as ourselves) and are rebuilding slowly. (if it werent for our shadowblades our realm points fo r suck) THANKS STAB!!!!
We did state Homeland defence is the most important rvr atm and we all need to make sure no matter what happens we do protect our keeps and defend. Keep the enemy out of our realms.
Lastly /AS Spam was addressed. AS most can tell from the /as motd. All guilds know to police your own and respect each other. No spaming or other annoying issues. Any recurring problems log it and send to the gm of the guild or post here in a pm to them.
That's about it.
BE WELL

I did have a few suggestions ...and so did others ....but I had the feeling that they got sacked.
it Was a suggested:
Make an Alliance RvR Council wich will include Officers/GM´s from all guilds... reply ...wait for ToA ...alot of old players will return then
Appoint new Alliance RvR leaders, since alot of the older are bored. theese 4-5 leaders MUST be backed up 110 %by the rest of us... If the present respected leaders follows the new guys ...so will the rest of midgard...... Reply ...You cant appoint new leaders ...wait for ToA ?!?
I also remember that MDoM offered their full support to what ever was decided to do to help getting us pass this down time.... no reply
I agree that whining dosnt help...but neither does sitting on ya but waiting for a miracle.....
I also agree that it was nice to see a big turn up at that meeting ... but what good is a big turn up if nothing is decided in 2 hours ?

And we replied:
"Some people are just naturally leaders, you can't simply appoint a leader. We are willing to follow any competent leader that steps forwards and wants to lead'.
You are grossly grossly oversimplifying things waz. You think anyone appointed Gundorf, Amit, Aenslands, Celestrial, Godorn, or Drutt? No. Those were all people that jumped forward and said "ok, listen to me tonight, I am going to lead you". Gil from your guild has done the same before. Occaisionally Bums. And if any of those leaders does a good job, then people will look to them again in the future.
Our big leaders are largely inactive or taking a break from RVR and levelling Alts. Gundorf moved and got a new job - plans on coming back when TOA comes out. Celestrial is playing Guin for a change of pace until things pick back up but is still around occaisionally. Amit moved to Phoenix for a job that didn't work out and now moved back home and expects to be back in 2-3 weeks. Aenslands is making a SB and recharging his batteries.
If anyone wants to be a leader then step forward and start leading. This isn't something that a committee can make work. You need to have the passion.
Now, the other problem is that of population. Merlin is thin right now. All of our guilds don't have the same number of members online that we used to have. What are you going to do about that?
Number of people per guild that broke 20k rp's last week
Mighty Danes of Midgard - 5
TingTong Inc - 4
BWC - 10+
Midnight Fury - 4
Wyrd - 1
F - 0
Esprit - 1
DL - 0
DW - 7
DI - 4
Ascendencay - 7
Now that's 44 active RVRing characters spread across all time zones. You tell me Wazzup - What are you going to do about that?
You think Myth alliance is any better right now? No. They have the same problems. Midgard Merlin is thin right now. Many many zerkers and shadowblades jumped servers. Skalds have been pissed for a long time. Thanes are seriously overdue some fixes. Hunters are the gimpiest of the gimps. 1/2 the problem is Mythic. Alot of Midgard players jumped ship. What do you want us to do to correct that Wazzup?
I'll say it again - we are in a slow time for Mid merlin. This has happened before. Things will pick up again. In 2-4 weeks we have some of our best leaders saying they will come back. These are people that earned the title of leader, and I will gladly follow them again.
Also, hopefully mythic will send Midgard some patch love. Midgards last period of dominance nicely coincided with Shamans getting end regen. And then 8 months later shamans, zerks, and SB's get nerfed while alb and hib gets loving and Midgard declines. This is not a leadership issue, I'm sorry.
In the interim, anyone that wants to lead - and has the leadership skills such that people will follow - go ahead and lead. But leaders are born, not appointed by committees. The zerg won't follow a committee.
