so someone on hib/lance is willing to buy my ring of zahur for 45p.
its just sitting in my vault atm, i don't have a template which requires it.
is 45p too cheap? Or am I stupid for not selling it asap?
As a sidenote, I really don't need plats anymore, I'm up to almost 100, and my toons are already completely ToA'd out. I'm not positive I can make a better template for faughn (if you think you can make an unequivocal and indisputable improvement to my template, lemme know, if I agree and the items aren't too bad to get, maybe I'll give you a couple plat reward on Hib/Lance or Mid/Merlin or Alb/Guin), and I'm a little lazy about killets.
Faughn's current template is:

I already know I can replace the cloak with a Blackened Cloak for +5% duration, but I'm pretty lazy about it, and I can't bring myself to pay 10p for it.
hmm...

be easier if u offered simple template form from an sc calc like korts
( http://sc.aod.net ) if u posted the .xml file other ppl could adjust it easier too

Besides, I can pump out templates variations, optimizations, 10x faster in excel than in Korts.
I dunno why more people don't use my excel template to optimize their templates.
Template can be made in <5 min using excel, and optimized in <10 min.
If you're interested in the template file alone, which calculates imbue costs, utility (although a little off on utility), minimum SC level to craft, cap spaces, gem combined utility values, etc, I have an old version of my templates you can muck around with here:

just open it in excel and have fun.

what makes the excel template more flexible is that you can invent your own algorithms to determine / compare different spellcraft templates.
in particular, I use the distance to resist variable, stat cap variable, combined jewel utility to see how optimized my template really is, and how efficient I was in using good items.
I have a preliminary version of the excel spreadsheet which also calculates utility values for ToA stats.
And while I've been a little lazy to look at this type of optimization, I can actually "skew" the utility calculation later to increase the utility I give to certain stats. The popular utility calculation is currently based on imbue value, which is fine and dandy, except it really leaves out the value of ToA stats, and overvalues crap like +skill items. make a modification like that would probably be a lot easier in excel where you can just type in whatever formula you want in whatever box you want

i don't have a better host atm
here's kort's version:

i hate that interface. its so hard to optimize the template using that program. I honestly don't understand why people think its _EASIER_. I guess if you don't have excel, korts is still the way to go. Although I do always input it into kort's finally because there isn't an SC'er who accepts any other form of recipes
