I will give Kerry alot of credit if he doesn't try to fight this in courts. If he does it will just continue the trend of contesting election results which is very bad for the country IMO. He lost by like 4mil votes...sorry Kerry but Dickhead won

hehe you cant blame the WTC attacks soley on bush... I hate the motherfucker but the blame isnt 100% his. That attack was the result of US Foreign policy in the middle east for the past 100 years or so.

EDIT: Take a class in Middle Easter history and you will see what I'm talking about. Weve fucked them over numerous times.

I am personally both appalled and amazed at the outcome in this years election. If EVER we needed a change it is now.

I also find such irony in the fact that Florida is one of the first states to have "touch screen" voting which conveniently does not give the voters any written verification of how you voted [thats right NO verification]. This just sickened me. [not to mention the majority of this new "system" was placed in high minority areas]

What I find most interesting about this election is that Bush is now a dead fish in the water, he is out in four years, so we can now watch first hand as the republican party works for the next four years to promote its next candidate. Meanwhile I have no doubt that Bush will spend the next four years doing even less for this country than he has in the last four years, but you can bet he will be ever present in any area that will benefit him in his future plans whatever they may be.

When will this country finally separate church and state and concentrate on the issues? I envy other countries who forbid such stances in the polls.

Another interesting point that I find is that the hispanic vote was majorly towards Bush with many claiming that a vote for Kerry was a vote for communism. In a state like Florida where many of our residents hail from hispanic backgrounds this really concerns me.

You see it dates back to a democratic president being in office when Castro was put in power and the party is forever blamed for this [why I don't know]. What is always overlooked by this group of voters is that it was democrats that enabled their sanctuary in this country when the republicans opposed it. You also don't see us overthrowing Cuba [which btw I think would be another Grenada], and I think people need to truly ask themselves why. Could it be because the US has nothing to gain by invading Cuba?

America has never been more vulnerable than we are now and if anyone thinks that war in our own backyard can never happen, I assure you that it can and may.

As a middle-class mother of an eleven year old boy this terrifies me.

Bush has claimed no draft, yet a draft committee has been formed, he claimed victory in this war many months ago yet our men and women continue to die, get kidnapped and tortured on a daily basis and are denied their rights to come home when their tour of duties are over. This war is FAR from over.

I can only hope that at the end of this undeserved second term that this country is able to pick up the pieces and concentrate on HOME.

Maybe, just maybe this is exactly the slap in the face that we as americans need to take our country back from big business and give it back to who it belongs to: The people.

I just hope we can all live with this decision in the end.

Anyone who is upset over this election GET OVER IT. Hating, moping, crying, bitching, criticizing wont accomplish anything. If you feel so strongly about specific issues appeal to your local government thats what they are for. Do something productive and make a contributing difference instead of whining and hating.

Rhiandra, I hate to bring up politics in none political groups, but perhaps, just maybe, it is YOU who needs to wake up, and view this as a slap in the face.

Perhaps, the hispanics aren't holding grudges from something that occured decades ago, long before many were born, and perhaps they realized they don't want to have everything given to them, and would rather have a party that will help them better themselves and become equals rather than one that continues to divide people based on ethnic backgrounds.

WHy do over 70% of active military support Bush? Perhaps those who serve view things considerably differently than you, and perhaps you should consider they have insight that you lack?

As to a dead fish in the water...are you suggesting that we shouldn't have term limits in this country? That's truely ignorant. Was Clinton a dead fish (some would certainly argue this), was Reagan? (I'm sure you would have a hard time finding someone to back that up, but then again most of the people on here aren't old enough to understand that far back).

Church and state, that I'll agree with you on :) But there were two important issues here, perhaps 3. Security and economics, and morality (I wouldn't have picked this one but the polls out today say that many picked morality as a deciding factor for whom they voted, and that the vast majority of those respondents voted Bush).

The key for me is economics. Of course, I actually work for a living, and earn money. I would like to keep that. I don't want it taxed and redistributed to people too lazy to work for themselves. Unemployment rates are a joke. People are CHOOSING not to work. Do you mean to tell me that within a 20-30 mile radius there isn't a Walmart, mall, Target, grocery store, resturant hiring??? BS. People choose not to take those jobs. Perhaps they are "beneath" them. Well, taking a government handout is beneath me.

Did you notice the international support, even from Putin in Russia, for Bush? Why? Because of security issues. They realize that Kerry winning would be a HUGE sign to the terrorists that the Americans want to back down. They have said so themselves. It doesn't matter if they agreed with Bush on going into Iraq or not. The issue now is what is best at this point. Clearly Kerry was not viewed as the right direction.
