I actually cringed at that shit, and normally I wouldnt I mean GOD FUCKING DAM. From what ive seen on Discovery and all those other lovely natureesque shows them tribal folks do indeed mutliate themselves but I dont think I recall removing FLESH. Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks. You are completely missing the entire point. Buying shoes or shirts, or an entertainment system or a computer, or even a tatoo or a piercing is one thing, but to hang off hooks by your FACE or carve shit into your arm with no professional supervision and no medication, can in no way be seen to be in the best interest of anyone except to someone that is psychologically warped. He wants to hurt himself? Great! That's wonderful, and when he accidentally fucks up and peels half his face off or cuts an artery and dies, well, we know that he's doing it because he knows it will benefit those he loves. /sarcasm

You can say someone's lifestyle is their own to choose, and I totally agree with you. But if you have a child, which means someone that you are responsible for, even if you didn't want to have said child, and hated said child, purposefully harming yourself, is NEVER in their best interest. There isn't any reason to argue further, we can agree to disagree, but we both know who is right.
