The person who started this thread, Pigvig, has lead more PvE raids for this guild than any single person. He's the one bitching and you're sitting here trashing on him for not trying. That's what I call ignorance.

I think she was talking about you mexal not pigvig... :nervous:

And it's the officers that gain the support of the guild. If they say jump, people jump. If us little peons say jump, they say fuck off.

when a peon reaches the end of the chest board.. he can then turn himself into a greater piece.

Everyone you see posting on these gay ass boards, have in somewhy shown themselves to be something of usefulness to the guild. be it DAOC , or gay WoW.

Most likely it was the vision of a leadership seed already planted in your soil just waiting to grow.. or you have oral to super.

People which have leaderhsip roles currently in WoW have them prior to DAOC yes, but also becuase WE WERE ALL IN THE WORLD OF WARCRAFT ALPHA.

Please don't get offended by my comments, mainly becuase.. i don't even play WoW anymore =P. But i do know however, that i was once a peon aswell in BWC, and i moved up by steping up. i saw what needed to be done, and i did it. i saw what i didn't like, and i changed it.

If someone in the WoW BWC guild sees something the guild needs.. more epic raids and shit, POST up on the forum that your going to get a raid going, with a time/date/meeting place... GET there, and host a raid. if you get a poor ammount of guild members to show, invite public players, and make a name for yourself. YOU will then gain some form of a leadership figure head and people will follow.

DON'T BE SHEEP!, EAT THE FUCKING SHEEP!.

AND I SAY ONCE AGAIN!! i have nothing to do with BWC WoW, BUT if i do start gaming again, i will fucking eat your ass! yes and i do mean that in the sexual manner! lol i keed i keed! i wont ever join WoW but i will eat your ass ;)

I just had to put my 2 cents in here. I have been leveling hard, currently lvl 46 Mage (Alcatraz for those who don't know). As soon as I reach level 60 I plan on leading ALOT of raids. This is the main reason I am in a guild. I don't mind leading after I get to know the instances. I also feel the leadership in this guild seems to be lacking. Anyways things will be changing soon. I am not an officer, nor do I want to be one, but I think raids should be happening alot more than they are.

Love everyone

Then talk to me. Don't make a general statement to people who bitch about this kind of crap. Her fault for not clarifying who she was talking to.

Mexal I love you bro but I have to go with Bulor on this one. Everyone can pitch in with or without some cybor title. There is no doubt Pigvig leads the most raids in WoW and it's noticed. Besides that there is very few that have steped up and filled the shoes of the people we have lost and some of the people we already had in place are not playing the same rolls they did in DAoC or not in the guild anymore, which is their right.

Run more raids and for the love of God start playing your priest man :)

How can I play my priest and run more raids?

Sigh, I'm not saying it's the title. I just think that if you have officers in a guild that are supposed to be leaders, then they should act like that. I've yet to see that from a single officer in our guild save Super Helix. Is that too much to ask or am I way off base thinking that leadership is important in a guild?

I'm tired of the current leaders telling everyone else that it's their job to step up and do shit. If the whole goal is to restructure the guild, then I'm all for it. But if all it's going to do is make it easy on the leaders who do nothing now anyway, then I hardly see the point.

This is not to say I won't continue to go on raids and do 5 mans when I can.

some leaders aren't in a postion of leadership to lead tho.

many are around to just keep the peace.. there are some leaders which have better public relations then others.

example.

Joshii. he didn't lead much at all.. but people would follow him becuase he has a claim state of mind on givin situations. and thus he was in a leadership roll.

then you have people like me =) Which tends to care enough to stop caring.

im down for what ever. even though im new i do agree with the need for some sound leadership and guild direction. daily raids and group pvp. maybe some kinda program where people of the similar level do quests together.

Well, for me, I'm tired of instances and pve. I want to pvp.

Second, I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't take a "guild leader" role in WoW. At the beginning of release, I wasn't even playing with BWC or even on Bleeding Hollow...but since Archimonde was down and had no where else other than BH so I stuck with it. A lot of people still look up to me as a "GM"-type role because of DAoC. I was constantly leading ML pve raids, rvr raids, and etc.

Even attempting to lead raids, I just find the communciation difficult. Majority of the guild isn't online nor wants to participate. And when I did lead a raid in WoW, the entire raid was full of sarcastic remarks, people bagging on people to the point I had to tell one member to STFU (and he even got offended and left the raid). Sorry I don't tolerate immaturity on my raids and I'll tell you like it is. I run raids to get from Point A to Point B (The Boss) and no Bullshit. Frankly, I'm surprised we even got it together in the end.

Nonetheless, I'm not happy with the direction of the guild. I'm not happy on constant invites to alts and people we don't know even if they are real life friends. (People get invited to the guild just because 1 person knows them...whatever happened to sending them to the boards and vouching for them? I'm sorry. I'll just beg SH to let them in...) I get easily irritated by a lot of members in the guild (I'm sure me also). I don't like that we don't take raids seriously (as in we joke around, won't assist, won't heal), which is why I group with Resonance or DW more and more. I'll see someone form a raid and about a hour later its drama in guild chat. First get the raid tools if you want to be successful: Get CT raid mod, require people to be on ventrilo (link above the post), require macros.

I don't have the time I did in DAoC to constantly be around and "help" out. During the week I'm on maybe 2-3 hours and weekends all the time. Then again, maybe I won't be around here any longer...
The message buck stops here.

I say trim the guild down. It sounds harsh, but I think we need to do it.

I see players in various cities or just passing them by on the road who fly our guild tag yet I dont even know who this person is, never read them in guild chat, etc.

This guild and any guild for that matter will run smoother and be more member friendly if cropped down to a number and a collection of players that makes sense.

This game although it is different, reminds me soooo much of EQ and we can jump up and down and yell and scream that we are waiting for the RVR part of the game to truly kick in when in the meantime we have to get our PvE shit together.

I was in a guild called Harmonium in EQ, we were the UBER guild, we set the path for how raids were done, how gods were killed and how a guild that wanted to do these things ran successfully. It remained the top guild on it's server and one of the top 5 guilds across the game until as a guild they decided it was time to move on.

It was not a democracy, it was as the GMs and the Officers said or you were out, period.

Whine and bitch and cause negativity, OUT.

Guild Raids were posted, day and time, and EVERYONE in the guild was expected to show up, yes everyone. If you couldnt make it you were to post, if you were online during raid time and you were not raiding with the guild the chances are you would not be in the guild for much longer. [guild participation also determined loot distribution]

Sounds horrible youre probably saying, but you know what? I was in that guild for 3 years and we had very LITTLE turnover of members.

Recruitment of new members was limited to needed classes ONLY and even then no matter who they knew in the guild they had to raid with the guild a minimum of like 5 times [full on raids] prove their skill as a player and then they were put on probation for 30 days after that if they got a guild invite. [you also had to be within 5 levels of the level cap to even be considered for this as well. When the lvl cap was 50 you had to be 45 , when they changed it to 60 , 55, etc.]

Officers rotated in leading but all were expected to.

If we cant master this game now in it's PvE form how do you really think we are going to perform overall in its RvR form?

Do we want to see this guild divided into various 5 man groups that do their own thing? Personally thats where I see it going.

my two coppers.

we should cut off recruitment until everyone is familiar with each other like the old days :) I also think if anyone wants in the guild HAS to post on these boards and have 2-3 vouchers. This may cut down on the confusion and will allow people to step up in the guild. because it's hard to step up and be a leader if we have passer byers that get invited just because we are bwc.
