I have never been an enthusiast of the more obscure holidays like “Groundhog Day.” This type of holiday made more sense long ago when Doppler radar was not available and faith in groundhogs was stronger.

Agree with the powerlevel statement....prolly the same reason most lazy fucks are going to mid. Not a bad one but I got tired of mid.

As for skald template.

Go if Sword go 50 Sword
43 Battle songs
rest parry

If hammer go 44 Hammer and 46 Battlesongs rest parry.

Dont go Axe unless you like to PVE otherwise axe sucks
Liader Ventura 49 level Cleric Holy Rollers Lamorak
Liader Ventura 50 level Skald BWC RR9 now
Sateo Corleone 50 level Shaman still a bot
Savaneh 50 level Spiritmaster
Akazuken on many servers just pimp on one.
Lets have a sexy party!!!

My skald is 44 Hammer 49 BS 4 Parry

I like having the last DD shout for PVP a lot more than having a slightly greater chance to parry.

I have Wild Power 3 so my shouts crit a lot and are a big part of my DPS.

Sword is fun for melee assist trains (ragnarok ftw) but for a more well balanced skald, the anytime snare styles for hammer are better, imo. Law posted a really detalied analysis comparing sword vs hammer a long time ago on this board. Damned if I can find it now though.

As I said, its an excellent spec if you're in a melee assist train. You can spam ragnarok and snare on people as they try to run and hit for absurd amounts of damage.

I happen to like hammer because you don't have to spec so high in your weapon skill to get to the snare styles, thus giving you access to better DD's.

Plus, once melee assist groups fell out of favor, it was much more desirable to make the skald in charge of interrupting enemy casters, etc.

The less likely your DD/snare/mezz is going to be resisted, the better you'll be at that role. That is why I have my BS at 49. Well, that and I like to get kill spam on runners :)

To each his own, I'm sure. Both are fully viable specs. I started at 50 sword 43 BS and respecced AFTER I'd levelled battler up to 10, and this was before they changed how the artis levellled, so it was all via RVR.
