WTF, I thought I locked the Swedes out of the forums.
Although detractors decry (MMA) as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally fucking awesome form of human cockfighting. -The Onion

I am going to edit my post to summarize positives and negatives, as my first post was not probably as helpful:
(Again, first thing first is: play what is most fun to you.)
Troll Positives:
- Highest weaponskill in H2H (base Dex + Str is 10 higher than kobold or norseman and 20 higher than dwarf.)
- By far highest weaponskill, in two handed
- Not an advantage but to clarify a misnomer: a savage troll will have enough dexterity, to be well over the soft cap for evade, so defense is not going to be materially different on a kobold (maybe 1 to 2% more evades.) For reference, read the many tests on stealther VN boards, that dexterity over 250 does little for evade.
Troll Neagtives:
- Makes setting-up positional shots much more difficult, so H2H effectiveness will suffer on them
Kobold positives:
- Makes setting up positional shots easier.
Kobold negatives
- not much difference in H2H weaponskill (slightly lower, about 60 points) but much difference in two handed (about 180) so you do not have much flexibility in going two handed - you will miss and have greater variance, wit hweaponskill, fully buffed around 1600 for even a rr5 one, if you do.
H2H versus two handed
H2H does less damage.
People love to illustrate quad hits, when talking about H2H damage. Yes they can be impressive but those are rare (I will have to pull out old reports but it as I remember, it is 3%.) Overall, and I tested this hitting mile gates on test server for 1000s of times, many times, trying different realm abilities and set-ups, the effective (average of all singles, doubles, triples and quads) on the H2H, RR5+ savage is around 1.60-1.65 effective swings per round, the lowest of any dual wielding class. The styles have good growth rates but they do not overcome the lowest affective swings per round, of the other dual wielders that are easily over 1.75, especially considering the time you lose setting up the positional hit you need to get those growth rates (even the most dexterous, waste 1/2 second plus setting up those positions and 1/2 seconds is 1/3 of a swing - this is a cost many do not consider.)
On the other hand, a two handed savage can swing a 5.5 delay weapon at around 1.65 seconds with TOA haste items and cap, even without TAO haste items but having a healer's celerity. That is a lot of damage.
While H2H savages were ecstatic on those 1100 -1300 point quad hits with crtical damage, on support, that happen 3% of the time, I was routinely getting 500-700 damage, every 1.65 seconds, on support classes, with 400-600 on tanks. Plus on critical hits, I had just as many 1000+ as the H2Hs did. Also, the H2Hs would not vocalize there many (60% of time) 300-350 damage hits and all their misses. Results of most tests, over time, the two handed is around 10 to 15% more damage plus the consistency of damage is better at systematically bring down support.
Do not read this wrong, H2H is very good damage and very fun, for many to play, but it is noticeably less damage, over time, than a two handed savage will do.
